DAY 1slumber party!Join your fellow travellers in Los Angeles and get to know the group on your first night together before your red-eye flight the following morning. As a group of similarly aged students, looking to get the most out of this once in a lifetime South Pacific adventure, there should be no shortage of things to talk about!

DAYS 2–3where did that day Go?Board your flight to the world’s smallest continent that boasts one of the most rich and diverse selections of nature found anywhere in the world.

As you cross the various time lines between America and the South Pacific you’ll lose a day, but don’t worry, you’ll pick it up back up again on the way home!

DAY 4those all-important first impressions …Enjoy a warm Fijian welcome as you are presented with Shel Lei by an official Pacific Destination Representative in Viti Levu. As Fiji’s largest Island, it is home to over 70% of the country’s population.

Explore the City of Nadi before diving into a tasty local lunch. Soak up some rays around the resort, indulge in a little retail therapy and play a game of volleyball or two.

DAY 5Crystal Clear watersSet sail on a journey up river, on-board traditional longboats, past the stunning natural beauty of the rainforest. Arrive at crystal clear waters where you’ll find a picture perfect scene that offers you the chance to swim beneath a waterfall.

Discover genuine Fijian village life as you’re welcomed with open arms into their community. Take part in a traditional welcome ceremony where you’ll drink a helping of the delicacy Kava and dive into a typical local lunch before exploring the surrounding wildlife on a rainforest walk.

DAY 7wild school daysFor the ultimate immersive experience of Fijian society attend school for the day, during a specially arranged People to People visit. Listen, learn and play as the locals do during this whirlwind tour of the school system.

Alongside your new friends, approach learning from a whole new angle in an exciting new environment, as you look at your own education through the perspective of your peers. Head out into Kulo Eco Park on a quest to uncover Fiji’s wild side.

DAY 8island ParadiseSet sail on a cruise to paradise. Board a 110 foot yacht, from the Governor General’s Brigantine to the many wonders of Mystery Island.

Once on the island, you’ll have access to amazing activities including local sports, games and snorkeling. Explore the seas on-board a glass-bottom boat tour that allows you to marvel at the area’s magnificent reefs. Life doesn’t get much better than chilling on the beach with good friends and tasty Fijian BBQ!

DAY 9Farewell Fiji Bid farewell to Fiji and your local hosts as you head to New Zealand. Set out on a guided walking tour of Auckland that showcases its many landmarks as well as a variety of hidden gems off the beaten track.

From the heights of the Sky Tower to the history of the Viaduct Harbour, uncover a wealth of fascinating facts, tantalizing tales and engaging experiences during an action packed first day in the city.

DAY 10 the twilight Forest walkHead to Hokianga, a picturesque drowned valley to the North of Auckland. Following your journey, visit a local school to meet up with your New Zealand peers for an insight into life in this rural part of the country.

Immerse yourself in Maori culture, hearing all about their famous myths and legends in the renowned Waipoua Forest. Explore the natural wonders of the forest, including the

largest living kauri tress in the world, during a magical twilight walk.

DAY 11Natural treats and international treatiesExplore some of the most spectacular examples of geology in the world, as you clamber over the Wairere Boulders, made from ancient volcanic magma. Visit the famous Mangungu Mission house, over-looking the Harbour, a serene scene that contradicts the occasional turbulent history of the area.

Explore the Waitangi Treaty Grounds; where Maori chiefs first signed their accord with the British Crown that is considered New Zealand’s founding document. Stroll through one of New Zealand’s great beauty spots with its panoramic views of the Bay of Islands.

DAY 12–13living the lifeTake a trip into the Kawiti Caves and discover just what exactly is spookily ‘glowing’ up above you, before meeting your host family for the next two nights. DAY 14rough and tumbleTake part in a full day of thrilling activities designed to help with team building and self-development. DAY 15Hop into HobbitonUncover the secrets of the Waimangu Thermal Valley, during a hike over the volcanic area which showcases our own relationship with the ecology of the area. Here, you’ll also be able to take a skyline gondola ride as well as enjoying the thrills of a luge.

Immerse yourself in the stunning setting for the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films. Following a specially-arranged Hobbit themed feast it’s time to live the life of a Hobbit. Visit Hobbiton to see the beautifully detailed props and sets of the smash hit movies.

DAY 16discover the land down underMake new friends playing Aussie rules football and cricket with locals in Sydney before getting to know the city on an orientation tour.

Following some famed Ozzie cuisine embark on a Sydney Harbour Highlights Tour showcasing the delights of the shoreline.

DAY 17Meeting the first AustraliansMeet members of the world’s oldest surviving culture, Aboriginal Australians. Get to know your hosts while discovering their fascinating ancient history. Learn to throw a boomerang, take in a traditional dance and listen to the famous tones of didgeridoo music.

Join your Aboriginal friends for lunch, where they will share some of their delicacies and fascinating stories. Take a ride on the world’s steepest train journey, the aptly named ‘Scenic Railway’.

DAY 18surfs up!Ride the waves at Bondi Beach, during a hands-on surfing lesson that forms one of the highlights of any trip to Australia. With

expert help, you’ll be a pro in no time! Dive into a tasty local lunch and some well-earned refreshment back on land.

Handle stunning multi-colored opal, Australia’s national gemstone, during an insightful cutting and polishing demonstration before visiting one of Australia’s most iconic landmarks. During an exclusive People to People moment, take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Sydney Opera House.

DAY 19luxurious lagoons and jumping KangaroosEnjoy a dip in Cairns’ best-known landmark, the brilliant blue Esplanade lagoon. Relax by crystal clear waters as you make the most of this truly spectacular natural wonder.

Australia is famed for a range of tantalizing BBQ dishes, so dive into a number of delicacies from Barramundi (a tasty local fish) to the slightly more adventurous Kangaroo!

DAY 20snorkel the Great Barrier reefCruise to the Outer Barrier Reef across cool blue waters. They’ll be an expert Marine Biologist on hand to answer all your questions about the ecology and history of the Reef.

Explore Australia’s rich and diverse abundance of wildlife alongside those who are trying to preserve it. Cuddle a koala and kick it with the kangaroos at a wildlife sanctuary working to maintain the region’s natural beauty.
