Motivations and barriersMotivations- makes fun- to help other people- meet other people/make new friends- to learn more- to stay active- bring in own knowledge- possibility to share experiences- broaden the own´s horizont- to get help when I need it by myself- helpful for common welfare- engaging for an important thing- to get social acceptation- benefit for the own profession- to find a paid job

Barriers- time is taken already by family - commitments- nobody asked me- never thought about- not compatible with my job- illness or disability- no intersting voluntary options in the region- not for my age- would cost too much- feeling that it is not a useful contribution- previous bad experience
