Voyager Chapel Pastor’s Corner Welcome “Home” Voyager Family and Friends! Please circle two Sundays on your calendar - November 3 and November 10. You won’t want to miss these two services at the Voyager Community Chapel! November 3, our first Worship Service of the season, is traditionally “All-Souls” day, and we will be honoring those who have gone on before us. On November 10, at our Veteran’s Day Service, an Honor Guard from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base will be “Presenting the Colors” to open our service; the Old Arizona Brass Band (a.k.a the 4th Cavalry Band) will present a Patriotic musical tribute to America and to those who have served our country; and our own Voyager Chapel Choir will join the 4th Cavalry Band for the presentation of a special God & Country musical number. If you are a Veteran or First Responder, please wear your uniform (or part of it), and bring memorabilia such as medals, souvenirs, photos, etc. We will set up tables where you can display your items and share your memories. On Sunday, November 24 our focus will turn to Thanksgiving and the blessings we enjoy here at Voyager and as members of the family of God. Each Sunday will feature favorite hymns from the past, newer praise choruses, stirring instrumental music, vocal ensembles, our grand Chapel Choir, and a time of study and challenge from the Word of God. I’m looking forward to the rich fellowship that comes from being a part of the Lord’s family, and the Voyager Chapel family, with you. I hope you will join us each Sunday at 9:30 am as we worship God here in the Arizona desert. See you Sunday morning November 3rd. Pastor David
Words are not enough to thank everyone at the Cove, Voyager and the Bay who collected money for the Community Food Bank Hunger Walk. Thank you to all who gave by walking, collecting money, donating and by being our inspiration. Our very special community collected $17,124 for the food bank. This is almost double what we collected last year. You are such a giving and caring group!! Thank you so very much. Jean Cary The family of Mary Ann Grace would like to Thank You for your sympathy. We greatly appreciate all your kind words, food and cards during this difficult time. We realize how truly blessed we are to have such wonderful friends during times like these. Mary Ann loved you all dearly. Your expressions of sympathy will never be forgotten. I would like to personally express my appreciation for all of your support. Sincerely, Corky Grace
VOYAGER CHAPEL CHARITIES Voyager Chapel has a rich tradition of supporting local charities that benefit our Tucson community. That tradition continues again this year as we contribute to FIVE Charities between November and March. A representative from the Charity of the Month will give a brief presentation on the 2nd Sunday of the month, and the charity will receive all monies collected in our Chapel offering on the 3rd Sunday of the designated month. 2019-2020 Charities: November 2019 - Salvation Army Toy/Book Drive December 2019 – Interfaith Community Services January 2020 – Primavera Foundation February 2020 – Gospel Rescue Mission March 2020 – Community Food Bank The Voyager Chapel invites you to hear the Salvation Army representative on November 10, and to contribute to the Toy/Book Drive in November, when The Voyager RV Resort community and Voyager Chapel will once again partner with The Salvation Army of Tucson to provide toys and books to 1500+ low income families.
VOYAGER CHAPEL RECORDINGS AVAILABLE Interested in Voyager Chapel, but can’t make it to the service? You can sign up to have recorded Voyager Chapel Services “delivered” to your home via the Internet!. Email [email protected] and information will be sent to you.
