Volleyball Season - A Success!
Congratulations to our Uplands Bulldogs volleyball teams! We are very proud of the hard work and great sportsmanship shown by all of our players. Up-lands had two boys teams and two girls teams playing in the Eastbrook tour-nament and all four teams made it to the semi-finals. We are thrilled with the way our students represented Uplands School in such a respectful and sportsmanlike manner.
Thank you to all the players for a great season. Thank you to the parents and coaches for supporting the kids. It was awesome!

School Bus Cold/Inclement Weather Procedures for Grasslands Public Schools
Grasslands Regional Division No. 6 believes that schools in the Division have the
responsibility to remain open. The safety of students and the conditions for travel shall
be the primary criteria to determine if buses will operate. Schools may be open during
these poor weather days, but often will not operate regular instructional plans.
Parents are encouraged not to send their children to school if in their judgment
weather conditions are detrimental to the safety or well being of their children.
IN TOWN (CITY) BUS ROUTES
Urban (within the city of Brooks) bus routes should not be cancelled unless the city
roads become too dangerous to operate the school bus or the temperature reaches -
37 C. If the bus routes are cancelled due to weather/road conditions or temperature
within the City of Brooks, the Transportation Department will contact Q-13 Radio 1340 AM or The
Fox 101.1 FM by 7:30 a.m. Please listen to the radio station for bus cancellations or call the Trans-
portation Department at 793-6703.
If any bus route is cancelled in the morning it will not operate all day.
RURAL BUS ROUTES TO BROOKS SCHOOLS DESIGNATIONS
Rural bus routes coming to Grasslands schools in Brooks may be cancelled due to
deteriorating road conditions or if the temperature reaches -37 C. If rural bus routes
are cancelled due to inclement or cold weather, the bus driver is required to contact the
local radio station Q-13 Radio 1340AM or The Fox 101.1 FM by 6:30 a.m. The bus
drivers will contact all students on their bus route, or put a phone fan out into operation.
Please listen to one of these local radio stations for any school bus cancellations
announcements. If any bus routes are cancelled for this reason, they will not operate
all day.
