“We believe that today, it ispositive for us, but we don’t lookat it as one bit of a victory,” sinabisa mga reporter ni Rep.
“It’s still a long way to go,” aniQuimbo, dinagdag na natanggalna ang “roadblock.”
Sinabi ni Retired Supreme CourtAssociate Justice Serafin Cuevas, pinuno ng pangkat ng depensa, nanagpasyang dumating ang PunongMahistrado “to show respect” sahukumang impeachment at “showthe entire world that he is pre-pared to enter his defense and con-vince this honorable body that heis entitled to an acquittal.”
“I saw it in his face. He ac-tually expected what happened.”

Claudine, Raymartto go on honeymoon again
“I just hope the bank willapologize for the undue embar-rassment they caused me,” saidClaudine, referring to her failedattempt to withdraw moneyfrom her joint bank accountwith Raymart. “They shouldprotect my money and not keepit. In the first place, I wouldn’thave banked with them if Ray-mart’s cousin wasn’t an officer. It’s sad that he believed thechismis about Raymart and mekaya the manager refused tosign the P5-million check.
“Prinsipyo ang pinaglalabanko dito. Pera din ng mga anakko yun. I am seriously consider-ing filing a case against thebank manager. Raymart is try-ing to talk me out of it but Ican’t let such unethical prac-tices go on. Kung ako theytreated me so shabbily na nga.”
But her attempt to withdrawP5 million from their joint ac-count doesn’t mean she’s with-drawing from her marriage aswell.
“Just like any other couple,Raymart and I have ourepisodes,” she explained. “But
what’s important is that wehave both decided to make ourmarriage work. Pero bawal paako magbuntis for five years be-cause I’m on [contraceptives].Our kids are bugging us na ngafor a baby sister/brother but Itold them I want to make agood teleserye and a block-buster movie muna before I getpreggy again.”
Claudine hopes that plans todo a movie with Aga Muhlachwould materialize. “Forte ko ta-laga ang drama,” she said.“That’s why I didn’t enjoy Iglotas much as my other projects.’Di ko kasi forte ang fan-taserye.”
But even off-cam, living lavida drama suits Claud verywell.
Blushing newlywedKyla was the picture of a
blushing newlywed when Ichatted with her. Has she ad-justed to married life as Mrs.Rich Alvarez?
“I am slowly learning how tocook,” she beamed. “So farpasado naman ang luto ko kayRich. I sometimes miss my oldbed. ’Di pa ako sanay na maykatabi. And ang hirap ng may
ka-share sa closet space since Ihave so much stuff I use for myshows.”
Do they plan to have a babysoon? “’Di namin minamadali,”she said. “Pero ’di din naminpinipigilan.”
The athlete in her husband isrubbing off on her. “I have be-come more health-consciousnow,” she said. “Rich acts as mypersonal trainer. Dati tamad akomag-workout but Rich encour-ages me to do so. Strict siya natrainer. Kahit pagod na ’ko, hepushes to do more sets which isgood naman for me. It will helpme breathe better as a singer.”
She hardly watches the ballgames of Rich due to her sched-ule. “But I have complete trustin Rich. I don’t even have tocheck on his whereabouts. Siyakusa nagre-report.”
The cager’s wife is not onewho will put her hubby in acage. Kyla would rather leave
the tight guarding of Rich in thehard court.
