Helpful Shortcuts
• Commands can be abbreviated, in many cases three letters will access a command.
• The F5 key brings up choices for verbs and nouns.
• The F7 and F8 keys and PgDn/PgUp
Adding an Extension
• There are two critical pieces of information necessary to add an extension– The extension number (Per system numbering plan all
12xx, 13xx, 3xxx and 4xxx are available)
– The port• Ports are identified by system/shelf/slot/port ie. 01B0710
means System 01, B means the card is on shelf B, 07 is the slot number and 10 is the port number.
• Port flavors – digital, analog, trunk, tone-receiver, etc.

• Setup personal dial list with command line– change abbreviated-dialing personal {Ext}
Trunks
• For incoming calls– Analog / Digital
• For outgoing calls– Analog/ Digital
• All our trunks are analog with the exception of the link between systems at the State House and WRC.

• Incoming/Outgoing capabilities
Hunt Groups
• Will hunt from line to line looking for an available slot.
