With this first issue of the newsletter ,I wish that BVM Engineering college will continue to strive to provide trained, innovative and contributor engineers with core values to meet the global requirements and adapt to the needs of the society. I wish that the institute would focus on employability of students by disseminating skills and creating knowledge. I extend my best wishes and blessings to the editorial board for bringing out this issue.

Technical education is the stepping stone for a country towards becoming a developed nation. It is an honour to have this opportunity as the principal of this technical institution, to take the name and fame of the institution to great heights thus contributing towards goals of our country closely and aptly. Through this newsletter we wish to develop a bond with every soul associated with BVM and provide them a platform to express themselves. An international educational program was conducted from 12th June to 23rd July in URAL FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, RUSSIA for the final year student. Milan patel made us proud by winning the trophy for BVM.

An Environmental audit of about 15 industries, whose consultancy

amounted to be 33 lakhs was performed by

Prof.R.LPatel in 2017.

An awareness program on Revit Software was

coordinated by Prof.D.S.Modi on 22nd

July, 2017.

The Students of 3rd year had participated in the Smart India Hackathon-2017, organized from 1st - 2nd April,

2017 in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. Our team Cye-Coder, bagged the 7th rank in the Grand Finale. Prof. Priyank

Bhojak mentored the team as the co-ordinator and Prof. Zankhana Shah was the convener.

An industrial visit to ISRO Ahmedabad on 04th April 2017,was co-ordinated by Prof. Vishal Polara, Prof. Chintan Mahant and Prof. Nikita Patel,48 students

attended it.

An STTP on “Cyber Privacy and Ethical Hacking” was co-

ordinated by Dr. Keyur Brahmbhatt and co- co-ordinated by Prof. Vishal Polara, Prof. Nikita Patel and Prof. Zankhana Shah

from 01st to 06th July 2017.

Expert talk on “Cost Analysis of Algorithms” organized on 15th July 2017.The event was co-ordinated by Prof. Kanu Patel, Prof. Vatsal Shah

and Dr. Keyur Brahmbhatt. A total of 19

students attended it.

Expert talk on “Career Opportunities” on 08th July 2017 by Endeavor

Institute wherein Prof.Prachi Shah,

Prof.Priyank Bhojak and the HOD Dr.Keyur Brahmbhatt co-

ordinated the event. 51 students attended it

An activity on the theme of “Jumping into Computers” was organised on 22nd July 2017 for students of second year, in which 73 students participated. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Hiren Patel, Faculty Advisor of

ISTE Students’ Chapter under guidance of Principal Dr.Indrajit Patel and the HOD Dr.Keyur Brahmbhatt.

An Industrial visit to Green Surgical PVT Ltd, Saveli

Industrial Estate Vadodara was planned on 25th March 2017, it was coordinated by

Dr. A.M.Trivedi and Prof DhruveshGajjar wherein 64 students participated in the

visit.PLC SCADA workshop conducted by MR Anshu Pandey Technoglobe hub, Delhi and organized under

IE Student Chapter was planned during March 16-17 2017 for 100 students

of Mechanical and Production students of 1-4
