vocational education & training reform
DESCRIPTION
Reform of Vocational Education and Training in AustraliaTRANSCRIPT
Context:
The following presentation was produced by me, Raffaele Tardivo, for Mr Brian Cunningham, Chief
Executive Officer of the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology, in the
State of South Australia in Australia.
I am his speech writer and I produce power point presentations to support his speeches.
The address was about CHANGE.
It was delivered to a conference of about 300 Vocational Education and Training providers and
practitioners on 26 June 2008.
The context is massive change in public policy and funding to meet looming skill shortages. The shortages
are being driven by structural changes in the economy; and mass exits from the workforce over the next
10 years as baby boomers reach retirement age.
The purpose was to engage the Vocational Education and Training Sector and sell the new policy direction
as important, necessary and positive – CHANGE IS GOOD!!!
My aim was to produce a presentation that both illustrated and supported his speech, and added value to
his message of change.
