Implications in the classroom Vocabulary needs to be presented in its typical context so
that students can identify the meaning and use.
There has to be constant relevant input.
Students need to be exposed to the words and need to beasked to retrieve them repeatedly. (Recycling & spacing)
Vocabulary needs to be personalized.
Students need explicit tasks and strategies to help themorganize and memorize vocabulary.
Learning vocabulary involves directed attention topronunciation features.
Learning a new word involves a long process, so teachersshould provide opportunities to help students complete it.
Students need to be helped to become less dependant ondirect translation from Spanish.

To keep in mind
Students need to prepare the class vocabulary
Long -life learning
Promote autonomous learning (monitorthemselves)
Ss can have a sense of self growth
Ss in C and D levels should expand their
vocabulary Teachers should ask students to use more than
the basic vocabulary when interacting.
Be creative so classes are not predictable
