Post-PC Era … What's Next?

VS

VS

Google’s Android operating system dominated mobile devices: Phones, tablets, cars and appliances Microsoft is fighting back with Widows (Nokia Tablets & Phones)

2013 could be quite telling… Can Microsoft even survive?

And what about Apple? Samsung will be taking a big bite out of Apple’s market share Samsung just opened a new R&D center in Menlo Park, California (up

the road from Apple), to “Accelerate Innovation and Drive New business Creation,” specifically in cloud infrastructure, mobile privacy, Internet of Things human interface, and mobile health

Bottom-line, these connected devices are moving into pervasive, ubiquitous computing

ARM vs. x86 Wars… Which processor uses less power? Which processor will drive the future of smart, mobile devices? Intel (Atom) may not be first to the mobile-device and micro-server (for

massively distributed software systems, i.e. Hadoop/Map Reduce) markets … but they will be formidable!

Intel has the know-how and is investing heavily in the fabrication process of its Atom line

2013 could finally see Intel realize new inroads into the energy-thrifty chip market
