VK‐Nardep is endeavoring to promote indigenous tradional sciences and technologies, supplemenng them with modern ones, it organizes awareness camps, seminars, workshops and publicaons. Promotes simple eco‐ friendly technologies which help the common people to pracce conservaon. The aim is to transform opportunies offered by me tested methods in to tangible benefits of the people. Green Resilient Rameswaram: VK‐nardep's next step was to start 'Green Resilient Rameswaram' in the year 2013. It works as a catalyc agent for the holisc development of the enre Island with the help of all the stakeholders including state government. The project has nine vercals namely: (i) Water management (ii) Waste management (iii) Renewable energy (iv) New merchandise and Livelihood (v) Landscaping and Beauficaon (vi) Green health (vii) Heritage (viii) Eco‐ tourism and Green transport and (ix) Marine biodiversity. Shelter Water Food Health Energy Creang volunteers for Resilient Green villages: This year (2021), we would like to start training the volunteers from all the states of India for creang Resilient Green villages. In the last three decades, VK‐Nardep has developed about 100 green technologies in the field of (i) Eco‐friendly construcon (ii) Solid waste and Water management (iii) Low input sustainable agriculture and (iv) New and renewable energy. Crea�ng volunteers for Resilient Green villages: This year

Vivekananda Kendra ‐nardep's mission is to develop Villages in a sustainable way. In the last 3 decades,

we have developed and implemented more than 100 technologies. we expect Volunteers a�er

undergoing training at VK‐nardep will implement a few technologies such as i. cleaning of water bodies ii.

Rain water harves�ng iii. Terrace/ home garden iv. soild waste management v. low input Sustainable

agriculture which includes different type of compos�ng technologies , Bio‐ pes�cide, growth promoters

etc., vi. Home herbal remedies vii, Bio Methana�on Technologies for Bio waste vii. Grey water

treatment etc.,

We expect the volunteers to mobilize and mo�vate the village leadership by way of SHG's / Farmers group / village commi�ee to implement various ac�vies for sustainable development.

VK‐Nardep will do the hand holding through phone, virtual medium or by visi�ng the centers for

implemen�ng the technologies and to strengthen the local units.

Our approach: VK‐Nardep believes that Spirituality – Inner Sustainability is an important dimension of

development and so we give emphasis on Yoga along with training in technologies for Sustainable

Development. Contents: The courses consist of 1) Physical exercises and Asanas, Surya Namaskar at Body level 2)

Breathing exercises at Prana level 3) Songs, community songs (mental and emo�onal level) 4) Lectures,

self analysis at intellectual level and 5) Deep and

healthy Relaxa�on through light exercises, games

etc at very deep level. Along with this, following

syllabus will be covered.
