Easy monitoring of AMD patients

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a major reason for vision loss.

The fundus autofluorescence option is an important noninvasive diagnostic

tool to provide improved visualizations for quick and easy monitoring of

dry AMD progression, including geographic atrophy. The autofluorescence

technique used in the ZEISS fundus camera is a single-shot technique that

works in the blue-green spectral range to minimize strain to the patient.

The autofluorescence is an optional module. It is possible to conveniently

upgrade the VISUCAM 500 at any time – without additional hardware.
