Contexts explored:

• JazzHub project details

• RTC views:– Timeline editor (updated since 03/11-slide 9)– Release plan– Sprint plan– Scheduled absences (new-slide 11)– Work environment (new-slides 12-13)

Notes:• Timeline view showing multiple timelines - related timelines are same color• Selected timelines would persist on surface (under picker at right) – can be removed (Google handles this in a sidebar w/ checkboxes)• Blocks of time in which we view are larger (Month, 6 weeks, etc) given the nature of timelines

More thoughts on slides 5-8:

• What would a list view show? (timeline view) > ref: project schedule images of stacked time

• Look at how we show time consistently in different parts of the UI, e.g. start and end dates, just end dates, # of days left, a mix of formats depending on context?

• Timeline views in plans > what problem are we trying to solve? What will make these views useful in plan context?

• Tech. consideration: How much can existing calendar tools be enhanced or customized? Need to weigh investment of time to value of features.

• Wiki notes: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/Calendar

Notes:• Same behaviours as typical Google calendar – click into calendar to add entries, edit, delete

Notes:• Workday is editable by dragging whole entry or ends, moving to another day• Combined existing Work Location and Work Days sections• Could this view also track time spent on projects? Would that show here based on Time Spent entered within work items, or would it be added manually here? Both?• Workday would remain constant, project entries overlaid• Project time could reflect actual Work Allocation – more realistic velocity• Continue thinking about whether Sched-Abs and Work-Env should be an amalgamated view: perhaps when W-E zooms to a week, this view would appear• How to visualize Work Allocation view?

FYI: Combined view of Workday, schedule and projects (projects color coded)

More thoughts:

• How much could a calendar show per project?– Timelines: timeline parent, releases, sprints– Work Environment and Scheduled absences– Time spent (per person, per team) on projects

• Interesting from a project view, and conversely from a team or individual view

– Team meetings– Other?
