EUROSKILLS GRAZ 2020
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP OF YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
EuroSkills is a biennial vocational skills competition in the form of European championships.
In 2021, around 650 competitors from eight vocational categories will meet to compete for victory.
Young people up to the age of 25 from 30 countries across Europe will compete in 47 different trades
and skills. The EuroSkills 2021 will take place in Austria for the first time in the EuroSkills history.

Messe Congress Graz is turning into a true skills hotspot: from 16th to 20th September 2020, visitors

skills, whether directly at the competitions or at the side events such as the conference focusing on
"Future of Skills".

The Opening Ceremony is the official start of EuroSkills 2020. The official entry of all competitors as
part of the "Parade of Nations" is an absolute highlight.

EUROSKILLS 2020 COMPETITION
In 2021, young people up to the age of 25 from all over Europe will meet in Graz to compete for gold,
silver and bronze medals in their chosen skill. The competition is held over three days. Over 650
competitors representing 30 countries will compete in 47 skills and trades. Over 500 experts will
evaluate the competitors work.

EVENT GROUP REGISTRATION FOR VISITORS
Several 10,000 visitors are expected at EuroSkills 2020.
A visit to the European Skills Championships is of course free of charge - but certainly not for nothing.
In order to ensure that everything runs smoothly for all guests, it is necessary to register in advance
via an online tool before a visit. This only takes a few minutes and requires no personal data.
For various groups there is a separate group registration form (for groups of 10 or more people) to
make the visit of the groups to EuroSkills 2020 as smooth as possible.

TOURS FOR VISITING DELEGATIONS
For visiting delegations EuroSkills 2020 Competition Tours will be offered. They provide a unique
opportunity to witness the European Championship of young professionals up close. Further details on
EuroSkills 2020 Competition Tours are currently being finalised. If you are interested, you can already

CONGRESS „FUTURE OF SKILLS“
EuroSkills 2020 will be accompanied by a first-class congress:
On the first day of the competition - 7 January 2021 - the EuroSkills 2020 Congress will take place
focusing on the topic "Future of Skills". In addition, an optional programme with company visits will be
offered on 6 January 2021.
You can expect top-class speakers and exciting discussions about the present and, above all, the
future of vocational education and training as well as the vocational qualifications and competences
required in Europe. National and international representatives from politics, science and business will
discuss the opportunities and challenges in vocational education and training associated with the rapid
changes in the work environment as well as possible strategies and solutions.
The EuroSkills 2020 Congress will provide a unique platform for bilateral and multilateral networking,
mutual exchange and knowledge transfer on the subject on a European level. Taking into account the
existing and future needs of industry, business and educational institutions, the aim is to set
fundamental impulses for the development of new, future-oriented educational and economic policy
approaches and to show ways and solutions for an economically strong Europe of tomorrow.
