on Christian Science for healing, and actively working alongside a Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner.

The Visiting Christian Science Nursing Service is available for a 1-2 hour visit - daily, weekly or as needed on a temporary basis.

Our visiting Christian Science nurses are trained professionals listed in the Christian Science Journal, expressing Christly love and gentleness. Expectancy of healing is our standpoint

Visits may be scheduled between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday by calling the free phone number.

How we can help • Assessing your care needs -

at no charge

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, shower)

• Cleansing and bandaging

• Finger & toenail care

• Assisting with mobility and instructing the use of mobility aids

• Preparing a meal

• Reading from the Bible lesson, Christian Science literature or sharing inspirational ideas

• Transporting you to local shops, for appointments, or a stay in a Christian Science care home

• Spiritual reassurance with the expectancy of complete and quick healing

• Guiding the patient or caregiver in providing care in line with the Church Manual By Law for the Christian Science Nurse

Christian Science Nurse Sect.31.

A member of The Mother Church who represents himself or herself as a Christian Science nurse shall be one who has a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice, who thoroughly understands the practical wisdom necessary in the sick room, and who can take proper care of the sick. The cards of such persons may be inserted in The Christian Science Journal under rules established by the publishers.

What will it cost?

We offer a Service which is ‘total benevolence’ - a Statement of Cost is issued –then you are invited to pay what you are able to afford.

Funding may be available to help you e.g. from the Aid Fund for Christian Scientists in need of Nursing Care and other Christian Science organisations.

The Visiting Christian Science Nursing Service is accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Christian Science Nursing Organisations/Facilities Inc and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The Visiting Christian Science Nursing Service is provided by Whitehaven Trust Ltd. Christian Science Nursing is part of the healing ministry of the Christian Science Church.
