Second Sunday in Ordinary Time
What is Angelus? The Angel
Angelus, is one of the beautiful ageless Catholic tradition pray-
ers, prayed every six hours to bless the day and to recall the
visitation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary and when God became
man - the Incarnation. It is prayed at 6AM; 12PM and 6PM.
This is the prayer that the pope prays at 12PM through the small
window every Sunday with the pilgrims in Saint Peter’s Basili-
ca Square, Rome. So, when you hear the Church bells toll at
these hours or your clock ticks on them, remember to stop what
you are doing and join the whole world to recall the Visitation
and Incarnation.
Here we go:
The Angelus Prayer:
V. The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary:
R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed are thou
among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy
Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour
of our death. Amen.
V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord:
R. Be it done unto me according to Thy word.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou
among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy
Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour
of our death. Amen.
V. And the Word was made Flesh:
R. And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed are thou
among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy
Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour
of our death. Amen.
V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God,
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our
hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son,
was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Pas-
sion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection,
through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
God bless you.

The Pastoral Plan
Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his won-
drous deeds. Ps 96: 3
In the Pastoral Plan one of the objectives is to “tell the Catholic
story.” Many people reminded us that the Church has many
wonderful stories to tell and we need to proclaim this great
news. The diocesan website has videos of people talking about
what their faith means to them. How would you share what
your faith means to you? Visit the diocesan website at
www.austindiocese.org. Thank You
Thanks to everyone for your prayers, cards, food, donations,
and support during Morris’ illness and passing. You have been a
great comfort to me and all our family. God bless you.
