A sphinx is a mythical

creature with, as a

Field Activities and Indoor games.

Sports and games are the ways of enhancing the

children’s mental and physical growth. Sports help them in

character building and provides them energy and strength.

Sports also eliminate mental exhaustion of the children.

Education is incomplete without sports. We have come to

realize that India is full of talented an hard working athletes

who redefine the meaning of the word 'success'. At GWIS,

all our players strive to bring out their individual best and

what really pleases us the most is the fact that these players

understand the concept of being student - athletes and

give their best in academics as well. As an institution we

have continued to grow with high performance in the games

and have won all levels within a short period of time.

Recognizing that success in the 21st

century is as dependent on skill as on

knowledge / content if not more, GWIS has

adopted both the approaches to education.

processes, and poetry, but also about

PRIMARY GRADES (1 to 5) HIGHER GRADES (6 to 10)

As children of this age group emerge from pre-school they

require both a home like comfort, yet stimulating and a

challenging environment to develop their skills. We have

specially developed curriculum which is flexible enough to

accommodate the individual strength of each pupil. With our

innovative concept of learning centers we lay stress on learning

by doing. We do not believe in learning in vacuum, so it is always

hands-on work and skillful learning. The curriculum offers

multifarious learning opportunities and situations to young

aspiring souls.

For every child, on every day, our innovative, inquiry based, co-operative, project based learning and differentiated teaching is tailored to different

learning styles of our pupils. Our hand-on skillful learning makes the curriculum vibrant and enables the child to feel, grasp and explore further. GWIS

comprehensive curriculum is a total integration of all the features of the life and the living of it.

Primary school students at GWIS learn and grow in self

contained classes. They enjoy the advantage of variety, by working with

Art, Music & Physical Education faculties and follow classes in Science,

Language and Math.

The aims of our curriculum are to ensure that all children are

provided with learning opportunities that recognise & celebrate their

uniqueness, develop their full potential & prepare them to meet the

CHARACTER EDUCATION

It has already been internationally proved that the food habits cultivated at an early

age constitute not only the healthy body but also an active mind provides resistance

to hard work and increases stamina. Thus, it becomes imperative to take care of the

young souls about their food habits. Hence, GWIS is consciously particular to provide

nutritious food and inspire the young ones to have healthy food habits.

Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are taken care to be upto the mark under

the recommendation of our qualified dietician.

FACILITATING LEARNING

Our classrooms, with a seating capacity of 25 are spacious and well

ventilated with ample natural and artificial lighting. Ergonomically designed

furniture, a combination of green boards and white boards, display boards, teaching

aid displays, CCTV and MMP facilitate the learning process to be very enterprising.

MULTIPURPOSE HALL

The multipurpose hall has facilities for a range of activities. It also serves as

a venue for musical shows, plays, yoga, meditation and prayer hall on the first floor

of the admin building.

AMPHITHEATER

Amphitheater is fantastic for introducing learning outside the classroom to

pupils. Perfect for role play outside classes and for performing art. The

Amphitheater range really frees children from the limitations of the classroom and

encourages them to use their imagination and build their confidence.

A. V. ROOM

A.V. room is instrumental in providing state of the art teaching methodology.

The futuristic A.V. room with all modern day facilities, endeavor to enhance and

create a vibrant learning atmosphere.

HEALTH, FOOD AND NUTRITION

The young ones must spend their early life days in learning scales. This span

of time, indeed is properly taken care of character sphere by the GWIS, under the

guidance and advice of the well experienced and talented guides.

We approach comprehensively to promote all round healthy habits under the

four pillars programme as already mentioned.

Our transport traverses all across the city to pick up our students.

Special care is taken while appointing the drivers, to ensure that only the

experienced and qualified drivers are appointed after undergoing a

driving test. Each bus has an experienced security personnel as an

escort to ensure the well-being of each child. The buses are equipped

with safety equipments and a first-aid kit in case of an emergency.

Being GPS & Autocop Trackpro equipped, the school can locate

the position of a bus and in case of a breakdown, we can send a

replacement instantly. To avoid rash driving and speeding, Speed

Governance is installed in all the buses. This has also helped us put into

place the Route Alert System, to facilitate our parents.
