Keynote Session

General SessionsWhat’s Really Going On With Faster PaymentsModerator: Richard Oliver, Independent Consultant. Panelists: Tim Mills, AAP, The Clearing House; Nell Campbell-Drake, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; Will Grace, AAP, Jack Henry Continuing where the opening Keynote session left off, join this panel discussion featuring experts from the Federal Reserve Bank, The Clearing House and a Payments Processor to find out what faster payments initiatives are on the horizon.

ACH Strategic Priorities: 2017 and Beyond Jane Larimer, NACHA With Same Day ACH, Phase 1, a reality and Network participants preparing for Phase 2 implementation, what else is NACHA contemplating? Jane Larimer, Executive Vice President, Network Services, NACHA, will provide an update on other significant ACH Network initiatives planned or being explored.

Deciphering Digital-Your Phone is Your Wallet Paul Tomasofsky, Partner, McGovernSmith AdvisorsMobile payments are taking consumer banking by storm. Understanding its impact is crucial. Learn how your bank can be a player and how you can serve the needs of all of your customers.

Improvements to Payment Speed and Security are Coming—Will You be Prepared? Connie Theien, Federal Reserve Bank of ChicagoThe Federal Reserve and nearly 500 payment system stakeholders have joined forces as part of the Federal Reserve’s Faster and Secure Payments Task Forces to improve the U.S. payment system. The Faster Payments Task Force will be publishing their final report in 2017 highlighting their assessment of faster payments solution proposals and the challenges and opportunities in making real-time payments a reality in the United States. The Secure Payments Task Force is working to outline ways to improve payment identity management practices, provide guidance on standardizing definitions of fraud and risk data, and publish a framework for protecting sensitive payment data. During this session, you will learn more about what’s to come and how the work underway to improve America’s payments ecosystem could impact you. Improvements to payment speed and security are coming, will you be prepared?

Fraud: The New “F” Word Jim Stickley, CEO, Stickley on Security Jim Stickley has been breaking into corporations for over 20 years. In this session he will be sharing how criminals are gaining ground. From cyber-attacks to social engineering, criminals are waging war against corporations, financial institutions and government agencies. While everyone wants to think they are secure, the criminals are winning. Stickley will address some of the bigger issues organizations are facing today. He will demonstrate some of the techniques he’s used to infiltrate real corporations allowing attendees to see firsthand how criminals are gaining access to their networks, avoiding detection and gathering the information necessary to commit fraud.

The Changing Payments Landscape Richard Oliver, Independent Consultant After years of occasionally disruptive, but more often stagnant, change in the U.S. payments system, we find ourselves amidst a tumult of change across all payment types. Almost daily announcements are made of new products and services. This session aims to cut through the hype and bring focus to change that really matters, change that can improve the efficiency, safety, convenience, and ease of use of payments.
