Lurgan Area Track Renewal ProjectCOMMUNITY UPDATE
Welcome to the third edition of our Newsletter, providing you with an update on the work we have been doing in your local community as part of the Lurgan Area Track Renewal.
The main work over the blockade has been completed successfully and on time, with 1.7km of twin rail track between William Street and Bells Row Level crossing upgraded, and two new platforms installed at Lurgan Station.
We want to thank the local community for all your support during these essential works. We look forward to building on our relationships as we roll out further enhancements to the railway infrastructure in your area.
We were pleased to attend a work experience fair in the North Lurgan Community Centre in August. This was an opportunity to highlight the available jobs with Translink.

- Lurgan Area Track Renewal ProjectCOMMUNITY UPDATE
Health and wellbeing are an important part of the community engagement package we are delivering to the Lurgan Area. We are working with local artists and a range of local groups, to produce artwork which will be displayed on the existing signalling cabins in Lurgan. This artwork will have a strong focus on health and wellbeing, and workshops and walking tours, including to Brownlow House, have already taken place.
The winner of our Lurgan Area Track Renewal Safety bus presentations to schools Competition was Matthew, who won a trip on the Enterprise for him & his family. Matthew then visited the train simulator at The Translink Training Centre in Belfast.
