VISION AS BASIS FOR COOPERATION

• A wish for further cooperation between the organisations

• A vision to be the basis for co-operation - what do we want to achieve? - and how do we do this together?

• A vision to be the basis for communication - the role of cadastre and land registration information and services - support fundamental government functions- provide reliable and authoritative information- meet the needs of private and public users

VISION STATEMENT• Society recognises that Cadastral and Land

Registration information and services in Europe are fundamental for a sustainable economic, social and environmental development in Europe. Information and services from the Cadastral and Land Registry Institutions/Authorities throughout Europe are constantly innovated and tailored to meet the needs for land tenure, land value, land use and land development functions on both National and European level.

WAYS TO ACHIEVE THE VISION

• 1) Raise awareness among decision makers that Cadastral and Land Registration information and services are fundamental for secure land tenure, effective acquisition, protection, enjoyment and disposal of legal rights, reliable land value, efficient land use and sustainable land development functions.

• 2) Promote that Cadastres and Land Registries provide reliable and authoritative information, as well as state of the art services, meeting the needs of private and public users.

• 3) Enhance their core strengths by working closely, minimise dublication of work and overlapping competencies, help and complement each other though their core expertise.

• 4) Cooperate to facilitate the communication with European Institutions to promote our common vision.

VISION FOR THE ORGANISATIONS

• The organisations (associations)– share a vision – can assist the members to achieve the vision– cannot commit the institutions to certain ways

of operating• The Cadastral and Land Registry

Institutions/Authorities of the individualcountries– have own visions and strategies– can choose the common vision as a guide– can assist each other by exchanging best

practises etc.

• Presidents meeting 12th July 2012 ( AGILE, EuroSDR, ELRA, Eulis, Eurogi, PCC at the invitation of EuroGeographics )

• New draft by PCC Presidency 22nd August 2012• Review ongoing (as of late August 2012)• Follow-up meeting in Cyprus early October 2012• Planned for agreement and signing at PCC

meeting in Cyprus 29-30th November 2012• Invitation to other like-minded organisations to

join in sharing the vision
