Visbion Image Cube for Breast Screening
The Visbion Image Cube is a proven device for reliably transmitting images from mobile units back to the hospital.
The Image Cube receives images from the mammography unit in Dicom 3.0 format. It then caches the images,
prior to compressing them in a lossless fashion, and transmitting them in secure encrypted format to the destination
PACS over a 3G/4G type mobile network. In addition, the Image Cube can receive and forward Dicom Modality
Worklist queries to enable the complete end-to-end workflow to be implemented.
The Visbion Image Cube transforms and streamlines the workflow of mobile breast screening. By linking live NBSS
and modality worklists, changes to appointments update in real time, eliminating errors and reducing the information
governance risks in transporting external hard drives. In addition the system cuts the cost burden involved with
couriers, and also helps you work towards a paperlight environment. Real time automated image transfer further
enhances the workflow, eliminating the need for manual upload of images to PACS; images can then be ready for
reporting next day. When your van moves location the Image Cube will automatically reconnect to the network so
that you are ready to screen immediately.
