General Project Details• Approximate length of Dulles West Boulevard is 4,500 ft• Four-lane median divided roadway
o 40mph design speedo Anticipate 40mph posted speed limit
• 10-foot wide shared-use paths on both sides of Dulles West Boulevard• Additional improvements to:
o Racefield Lane / Hiddenwood Lane (intersection modifications)o Stone Springs Boulevard (pedestrian facilities)o Arcola Boulevard (turn lane extension)
• Pavement resurfacing on Arcola Boulevard and Dulles West Boulevard

Project Coordination
• Design is being coordinated with Northstar Boulevard Improvementso Northstar Boulevard underway as a design-build projecto Consistent with Location & Design Public Information Meeting held
on July 8, 2019o Includes completion of 2-lanes of Dulles West Boulevard north of
Racefield Lane One-lane in each direction (interim condition); ultimately becoming the two
eastbound laneso Construction of 2 westbound lanes may be added to provide the
ultimate 4-lane typical section and avoid future reconstruction Proposal from design-build team has been requested by Loudoun County
