    An alumnus of the high school borrowedmoney from the student. When the student

    was already claiming payment, the debtor

    killed the student inside the school grounds.

    The body of the victim was seen lying on thegrassy area at the back of one classrooms.

    School requested for police presence insidethe campus and hired several security

    guards from a private agency to beef up the

    security within the premises of the school.

    June 26, 2012 (11:00-11:30 a.m._

    Mom fetched her child from a private learning center

    and was about to board a tricycle to fetch her otherchild who is enrolled in another school when anunidentified gunman shot them both. The childsurvived.

    ACTION TAKEN:

    The child is enrolled in a private learning center.The incident happened outside the school; hence,the principal of the nearby public school just sent anincident report.

    July 19, 2012

    A riot happened in front of the school involving some

    students and unidentified teenagers. A freshmanstudent died due to gunshot wounds brought aboutby a pen-gun (sumpak).

    ACTION TAKEN: The SDS immediately called the attention of all

    school heads and instructed them to formulate plansand measures regarding peace and order andstudents discipline to be strictly implemented in theirrespective schools.

    ACTION TAKEN: Specifically they were instructed to:

    Increase police visibility in their schools during dismissal Guards should conduct bag inspections and body frisks

    Conduct seminars regarding drugs and drug related problems

    Conduct random drug testing with parents permission

    Strengthen role of the student council in promoting peace andorder

    Dismantle all forms of fraternities and sororities, insteadencourage students to divert energies to worthwhile activities

    Strengthen the role of the Guidance Counselor in providingmoral and spiritual guidance

    Regular communication with parents

    A fistfight occurred in the corridor of the school.

    When the teacher reached the hallway, the studentwas already on the floor, fighting unconsciousness.Student was brought to the hospital and died there.

    ACTION TAKEN:

    Submitted an Intake Sheet to the ASDS The principal, together with the staff shall undertake

    measures to intensify the enforcement of the DepEdChild Protection Policy to prevent the happening ofsimilar incidents

    July 27, 2012 (4:30-5:00 p.m.)

    Grade 4 student killed a Grade 1 pupil at theback of one of the comfort rooms inside the

    school premises. The perpetrator repeatedly

    hit the bleeding head of the victim with a rock

    after the latter ran away with his marble. ACTION TAKEN:

    Fernando Air Base NHS, Lipa City

    August 1, 2012 (9:00-9:30 a.m.)

    A fistfight occurred between two students inside the

    classroom (while the teacher was inside). In thealtercation, the victim hit his head on the steel part ofthe classrooms windowpanes. The victimsubsequently died in the hospital.

    ACTION TAKEN: The Division Grievance Committee conducted an

    investigation. No report submitted on action takenafter such investigation.
