MATTHEW 22:15-17Then the Pharisees went out, and laid plans to trap (Jesus) in His words. They sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity, and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial (tribute) tax to Caesar or not?”

Show Me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought Him a denarius, and He asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”“Caesar’s,” they replied. THE TRUTH ABOUT IDOLS & JESUS- Jesus detests the idol of white supremacy, but He died to forgive & save white supremacists

- Jesus detests the injustice of white privilege, but He died to forgive & save those who have implemented it, & those who have failed to lament & repent of opposing it however possible

- Jesus detests our national devaluing of human life, but He died to forgive & save those who – for whatever reason – have contributed to devaluing those lives

THE TRUTH ABOUT IDOLS & JESUS- Jesus detests the sin of unchecked anger/manger/contempt, but He died to forgive & save those of us who are guilty of it

- Jesus detests the idol & injustice of white supremacy & white privilege, but He died to forgive & save those who have implemented it, & those of us who have failed to lament & repent of not opposing it however we can

- Jesus detests the idol of nationalism, but He died to forgive & save those of us who are guilty of succumbing to it & prioritizing IT over HIM
