Villains United
Not a dating agency for criminals or even a jail football team –
rather what I graphically imagined United Airlines thinking was behind them cancelling my
flight.

A Graphic Fantasy
A graphic fantasy about what I imagine led to United Airlines cancelling my flight from Chicago to London a day and a half before I was due to fly using the excuse that a pre-flight check identified a mechanical issue that caused it to be taken out of service.
DisclaimerThis graphic fantasy is purely fictional. I do not know or understand the thinking behind United Airlines actions (and doubt if anyone could).

The cancellation E-mail – note the time (13:23) is London time – Chicago time is 08:23 – 37 hours 37 minutes before the scheduled departure - 22:00 hrs (10pm) 18th March.

Has anyone ever seen a supervisor?

No response between the two emails. So many complaints to deal with (even if United wanted to)?

Letter March 18th – no reply!
A Flight (not) 15
When I managed to get a response to my complaints.
United’s eventual explanation was even more imaginative and bizarre than my graphic story.

The Prequel
All good fantasies and fairy stories should have a prequel and this is mine – about the flight from the UK to the USA.
A flight that was 1/3rd full.

The Moral
All fairy stories need to have a moral – especially United’s fairy stories.
