Greetings from the Village Center Team

The weather this fall has been delightful – but the calendar tells us that winter – and the holiday season - is most definitely on the way! The team at the Village Center wishes you and your family the happiest of holidays and we want you to know that we are thankful for your patronage, your volunteer assistance and above all – your friendship.

Our team has planned a wide variety of programs and activities for your family to be a part of throughout the winter months. Indoors and out – we hope that there is a program or an activity of interest to everyone. Need a place to play inside this winter? Join us for Friday Fun Zone or open gym. Do you love the cold and the snow? Rent a pair of cross-country skis or snow shoes from us. Is your New Year’s resolution to be more active? Consider registering for a fitness class or signing up for a FIT Pass. Hoping to host a party for your friends or family? Call us about renting one of our community rooms.

Should you have any questions, comments on our programs, or ideas for new activities, please call or send us an email at [email protected]. Your input is always welcome!Waunakee Village Center

youth enrichmentMusic Together® at the Village Center

Did you know that all children are musical? Music Together® is a community of families sharing songs, instrument play, and rhythm chants in a relaxed and playful environment. Music Together classes are mixed-age, meaning that infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are all participating together at their own level. Parents and caregivers are supporting their child’s musical development by participating and sharing in the joy of music making with their child!

Music Together’s researched-based curriculum reaches families in over 40 countries all across the globe. Each semester, a new song collection is introduced. Each family brings the songbook and CD home, helping your family engage with the music during the week. Come experience the joy of music making with your child! March 17 will be used as a makeup or demo class.

The spring session of Music Together will begin

late March. For more information or to register go to www.musicforlifemt.com or contact Catherine at [email protected] or call (608) 807-9790.

Ever watch a four or five-year old soccer game, a herd of children chasing a ball and only a few able to kick it. Usually after a few minutes some kids lose interest and start picking dandelions on the field. This is what we do not want and why Little Star Kickers is a great program. Every child gets to play and enjoy each class. We work up to scrimmaging through introductory drills and fun games. They may not be ready for the World Cup after one session, but all will have scored many goals, learned to work with others, developed some basic soccer skills, and hopefully finished class with a big smile on their face.
