BEST TIME TO VISIT AUSTRALIA

The peak travel season in the most popular parts of Australia is the Australian winter. In much of the country – Queensland, the Top End, the Red Centre and most of Western Australia – the most pleasant time to travel is April through September, when daytime temperatures are 66° to 88°F (19°-31°C) and it rarely rains. June, July and August are the busiest months in these areas.

On the other hand, Australia's summer is a nice time to visit the southern states - New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia from Perth to the south, and Tasmania. Even in winter, temperatures rarely dip below freezing, and snow falls only in parts of Tasmania.

Ultimately the best months to visit Australia are September and October. During this period it's still warm enough to hit the southern beaches, but also cool enough to tour Uluru (Ayers Rock). As well, the humidity and rains have not yet come to Cairns or the Top End and the wildflowers are in full bloom in Western Australia

Page 17: Vikas singh travel

Best Time to Visit New Zealand

Depending on what you want to do, you can virtually go all over New Zealand at all times of the year. The summer months are from November to April, peak season is December, February and March. This is not only because of foreign tourists but also domestic travelers who have holidays from 20th December to late January when schools close. Easter weekend and late October are also vacation times. For beach bums, January and February are the best time though other months are also quite warm. October and May are quieter and cheaper as all the rates start to come down, and if you avoid high altitude areas, then the weather can be cool and pleasant. If you're planning a ski trip then June to September are the best months to come in.

Page 18: Vikas singh travel

CLIMATE OF AUSTRALIA

The climate of Australia can vary a great deal from place to place, although in summer it’s basically hot everywhere in varying degrees (little weather joke there)Australia is an essentially arid continent, with 80% of the land having a rainfall less than 600 millimeters per year and 50% having even less than 300 millimeters per year.Australia is in the southern hemisphere so our seasons are opposite from the northern hemisphere; this means that Christmas in Australia is in summer when it’s hot, and summers can get quite a bit hotter than they do in the northern hemisphere.

Seasons in Australia are:Summer: December to FebruaryAutumn: March to MayWinter: June to AugustSpring: September to November

Page 19: Vikas singh travel

CLIMATE OF NEW ZEALAND

NZ is quite simply ‘The Windy Country’. Winds sweep in all the year round and can be chilly when they come from Antarctica and warm when they blow from across the Tasman Sea. The North Island is subtropical while the North is temperate. The coldest months are June, July and August; the warmest are December, January and February. Average summer temperatures range from 20 to 30 degrees and maximum winter temperatures from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius. . Summer season is the best season; up north it’s quite pleasant almost round the year, though it can get quite windy in the high altitude areas.
