Celebrate Summer—Celebrate our Volunteers
Summer is here and the season brings with it longer days, backyard barbecues and celebrations. It is also a time to celebrate you—our wonderful CJE vol-unteers. To show our gratitude for their selfless service, volunteers from these programs and
locations are being feted at various loca-tions across CJE: Robineau Residence; Lieberman Center; Weinberg Commu-nity; Horwich Buildng; Adult Day Services/CJE Sinai/Culture Bus; and In-dependent Housing. Thanks to each and every one of you for
your dedication to CJE. You are truly making a difference in the lives of the older adults that we serve. Once again, thank you!

Making a Difference at Robineau Residence
Enriching the lives of the Robineau residents for over a decade, the members of the Social Action Com-mittee of Temple Beth El volunteer their time on a monthly basis. Whether sharing discussion topics, arranging concerts per-formed by the Temple cantor and Junior Choir, going out for lunch, or
Quotable Quotes
I began to volunteer
at CJE to honor the
memory of my
mother, Sophie
Schram, who
resided at Robineau
for three years. I
soon came to
realize the impact of
my volunteering. It
is fun and reward-
ing, but most of all, I
realized that the
more I volunteer,
the more I love it. I
always look forward
to seeing and help-
ing my friends, our
CJE seniors.”

New Volunteer Time Recording System: Volgistics
Your volunteer ser-
vice is very important
to CJE. Not only does
your volunteer service
help CJE serve our old-
er adult population,
but the hours that you
volunteer are used for
a variety of important
reasons. In addition to
being able to provide
you with your personal
volunteer record, cu-
mulative volunteer
hours are also used in
grant applications and
tax reporting.
Therefore, in order to
assure better accuracy,
we are rolling
out a new time
recording sys-
tem called Vol-
gistics. It is a
computer sys-
tem that will
track your volunteer
hours as well as provide
you the opportunity to
receive information about
your volunteer service.
Each volunteer will re-
ceive a login identifica-
tion which you will use
to sign in and out on a
touch screen computer
each time you volunteer
at CJE.
It is as easy as touch-
ing a button and typ-
ing in a few numbers.
We will be providing
written instructions
and assistance to in-
troduce you to this
system. Look for more
information through-
out the summer where
you sign in for
volunteering.
