PRESS RELEASE 21-10-2012  

                     The Delhi Police today organized Commemoration Day Parade in remembrance of Police personnel  who were killed in serving their respective forces between 1st Sept-2011 to 31st Aug- 2012. The Parade was held at New Police Lines Ground, Kingsway Camp.

               Sh.Neeraj Kumar, Commissioner of Police,   Delhi read out state and Central Police Organizations-wise list of personnel who were killed or met with unnatural death during the period.   In all, 566 police personnel including 19 of Delhi Police were killed while serving their respective   forces.  

 State   and     Central   Police  Organizations-wise   details   of   personnel 

killed during the period from 01-09-2011 to 31-08-2012 are Andhra Pradesh 10 Assam 03 Chhatishgarh 24, Gujrat 01, Himachal Pradesh 03, Jammu Kashmir 10, Jharkhand 43,   Karnataka 05,   Kerala o1, Madhya Pradesh 10, Maharastra 04, Manipur 09,  Meghalaya 08,  Nagaland 04,  Odisha 18, Punjab 29, Rajasthan 01, Tami Nadu 03,  Tripura 01,  Uttar Pradesh 133,  Uttarakhand 05, West Bengal 28, BSF 85,  CISF 21,  CRPF 57,  ITBP 02,  MHA 01,  RPF 19 and SPG 02, SSB 05. 

19 personnel OF Delhi Police namely ASI Bhim Singh Vedi, HC Rakesh Kumar, HC Sanjeev Kumar, HC Satender Kumar, HC Nihendra Singh, HC Dinesh Kumar Pathak, HC Satender Pal  Panwar, HC Krishan Kumar, HC Jai Pal, HC Yash Pal, Const. Tanveer Singh, Const. Deeptak Kumar, Const. Satyavir Singh, Const. Naresh Kumar Verma, Const. Riyaz Hussain, Const. Kapil Dev, Const, Devender Singh, Const,  Mahavir Singh and Const.  Parveen laid their  lives  in the  line of duty.  

   

                     Shri K.K. Paul, Member UPSC, Shri N.S. Sandhu Director IB, Shri V.Rajagopal  Spl.  Director   IB and   retired Commissioners of  Police,  Delhi,  Shri Subash Tondan, Shri Raja Vijay Karan, Shri M.B. Kaushal,   Shri Ajai Raj Sharma, Shri R.S. Gupta ,  senior officers of Delhi Police and CPOs paid homage by laying wreath at the memorial.  A two minutes silence was observed in remembrance of martyrs. 

              The Commemoration Day is observed every year on 21st October in 

the memory of 10 personnel of CRPF, who were ambushed and killed by Chinese force in Laddakh region on 21 Oct. 1959.

Details of personnel who died in line of Duty

Constable Naresh Kumar Verma:- While  on  night  duty  at 2.30   AM on   18th  May-2012   in   the   area   of   Police   Station Bharat   Nagar   (   North  West   District),     Constable   Naresh Kumar   Verma   chased   a   gang   of   notorious   criminals  who were  escaping   in  a  tempo after  committing a crime.    The criminals crushed the  late Constable Naresh Kumar Verma 

under the wheels of their tempo in order to escape from being caught by the brave officer.

Head Constable Yashpal :- While passing through the area of Jharoda at  1.35 AM on 24th  August  2012,  HC Yashpal  was shot   dead   by   a   gang   of   criminals   from  Mewat  when   he courageously   and   single   handedly   intervened   to   prevent them from stealing cows belonging to the locals.

Head Constable Nihendra Singh:- Head   Constable   Nihendra Singh of traffic police was crushed by a rash driver in a speeding car while he was on special interceptor duty at 07.40 AM on 28th 

September 2011 at DND flyover. 

Head Constable Sanjeev Kumar:- On 15th May 2012 HC Sanjeev Kumar and two other Constable were in the area of Meerut(U.P.) for collection of criminal intelligence.  Suddenly a car coming from the opposite side blocked their way and the passengers of the car, later  identified as known criminals,  fired indiscriminately on the Delhi Police team.  HC Sanjeev      Kumar   succumbed   to 

his injuries. 

Constable Riyaz Hussain :-Constable   Riyaz   Hussain  was   on duty at the New Delhi Railway Station on 23rd January 2012 to prevent trespassers from crossing railway tracks.   One such person, instead of heeding of Ct.

Constable Tanveer Singh :- Constable  Tanveer  Singh  was  on patrolling duty on 28th September 2011 in his beat in the area of  Police   station  Ranhola   (West  District),  when   two  known criminals, against whom the Constable had earlier taken legal action, shot him dead. Ct Tanveer Singh had to pay with his life to ensure safe streets for the citizens of Delhi.

PRESS RELEASETWO CAR JACKERS ARRESTED BY STAFF OF PS-S.B.DAIRY, OUTER DISTRICTHIGHLIGHTS:-

Two persons arrested who were involved in the cases of car jacking. One swift VDI found to be robbed from Hapur, UP, One ETIOS found to be robbed from Visrat, Dadri, UP one Swift Dzire stolen from NOIDA UP and One Santro car also likely to be stolen recovered from their

possession.With the arrest of (1) Naveen @ Neetu S/o Ved Pal R/o Z-317A Sector-

12 NOIDA, UP aged about 36 years and (2) Ram Awadh s/o Arjun R/o Village Sorkha, Sector-115, NOIDA, UP, age about 39, the staff of PS Shahabad Dairy has done excellent job to nab the car jacking. One Swift Dzire, one Swift VDI, one ETIOS found to be robbed/stolen from Noida, UP and one Santro car likely to be stolen have been recovered from their possessionBrief facts & Investigation:-

In order to prevent the incidents of Robbery, Car jacking and to nab the criminals involved in such cases, special pickets were being deployed in the area of police station Shahabad Dairy. The analysis of the various incidents revealed that the favorite spot of the robber/car jackers was isolated area falling in the area of DSIIDC Bawana. Therefore ACP/Bawana especially minutely supervise all such incident happened in his Sub Divisions. Accordingly, Sh. K.P.S.Malhotra had not only briefed the staff of the all Police Stations of Sub Division Bawana but had also tarted checking these pickets. The initiative taken resulted into apprehensions of two car jackers. Keeping in view of the above, secret informers were deployed to gather information regarding the car jackers and robbers. Local intelligence was developed and on 21.10.2012, secret information regarding car jackers was received to Sh K.P.S. Malhotra, ACP/Bawana, who immediately passed necessary directions to Inspr V.K.Rastogi, SHO/SB Dairy for the deployment of staff at 80 foota Rithala-Bawana Road. The staff consisting of SI Vijay Samaria, SI Sukhpal, HC Sunil, HC Gopal, Ct Gopal krishan No. 1218/OD started checking the vehicles coming from Bawana side. In the meantime, one ETIOS car came from Bawana side towards Barwala. The secret informer signalled towards the car. The vehicle was intercepted by the checking staff, but the driver of the ETIOS tried to take U-turn and fled from the spot. But the vehicle was made to stop by putting the barricades. Two persons were sitting in the car and they were made to come out of the car. SI Vijay Samaria enquired the driver about his conduct but he could not reply satisfactory. The car was checked thoroughly and 3 car keys were found in the dash board of the car. The driver could not give any satisfactory answer regarding the keys available in the car. After discreet enquiry, the car was found to be robbed from the area of Delhi- NCR. Interrogation:-

Both the accused persons have confessed that they used to steal vehicle but they recently changed the track and started car jacking. Recoveries from the accused persons:-

PRESS RELEASEONE ABSCONDING DACOIT WANTED IN CASE FIR NO. 318/12 U/S 365/397/34 IPC PS- S.B DAIRY ARRESTED BY STAFF OF PS-S.B.DAIRY, OUTER DISTRICTHIGHLIGHTS:- · One absconding dacoit namely Pardeep wanted in case FIR No.318/12 U/s 365/397/34 IPC, PS-S.B. Dairy arrested.· Booty of Rs. 3.5 lakhs recovered from the possession of accused Pardeep· One country made pistol of .315 bore and two live cartridges recovered from his possession. With the arrest of absconding Pardeep S/o Rampat R/o the staff of PS-S.B.Dairy has completely solved the case of loot of Rs. 17,50,000/-, three Rings, Chain and Bracelet from one Joginder. BRIEF FACTS:- On 01.09.2012 at about 07:45 complainant Sh Joginder Singh was going from his office, Deep Vihar Pansli to his house at Narela in his car No DL4C AP 9697, Verma. All of sudden he was stopped by one person who was wearing police uniform in the area of Deep Vihar Pansali in the jurisdiction of PS Shahbad Dairy who asked him to show the vital documents and simultaneously other two persons surrounded him forcibly put him in his car and tide his hand, feet, eye and mouth with doctor tape and rope and push him under the seat. During the period they also switched of his mobile phone. After half an hour, they stopped the vehicle and took him in the place

which was covered with the shade where one girl and other two boys were already present. On the gun point they put off his clothes and the girl was also brought in the naked position and one person took their objectionable photographs for the purpose of blackmailing. All the persons took Rs 1750000, three gold rings, gold chain and one bracelet. After that they again tide his eyes, hands, feet and mouth with doctor tape and put him in his car and car was left by them in abandoned area. He managed to escape from the car and with help of one driver of Champion vehicle inform at his house. INCIDENT/INVESTIGATION:- In the above said case, dacoits namely (1) Ramesh Dahiya s/o Pratap Singh@Japan Singh R/o VPO Pipli, Tehsil Kharkhoda, Distt Sonepat, Haryana, age 35 yrs (2) Amit @ Ajit s/o Ram Diya R/o VPO Datoli, Tehsil Gannaur, Distt Sonepat, Haryana, age 21 yrs (3) Pawan s/o Dilbag Singh R/o VPO Sanaspur, Tehsil Charakhi-Dadri, Distt Bhiwani,Haryana, age 20 yrs (4) Vija Singh Changed name (CCL),purusing 10th class, age 15 yrs and (5) Lalita @ Jiya w/o Abhishek R/o T-585/J Gali No.2 Baljit Nagar, Delhi, age 20 yrs were already arrested by the staff of PS- SB Dairy and one accused namely Pardeep was absconding and evading his arrest. On 21/10/12, secret information was received to Sh K.P.S. Malhotra, ACP/Bawana who immediately directed Insp. Vijay Kumar Rastogi, SHO/SB Dairy regarding arrival of accused Pardeep in pooth area and to form a raiding party. The raiding party was prepared consisting of SI Arun and other staff. Accused Pardeep was arrested after pointing out by the informer. Accused Pardeep was arrested, when he was going in i-20 car to meet his family members in Pooth Area. Accused Pardeep was overpowered by the staff and on his formal search a .315 bore country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession and looted Rs 3.5 lakhs were recovered from the car.

ONE ACTIVE AUTO-LIFTER ARRESTED, FOUR STOLEN MOTOR CYCLES RECOVERED, 04 CASES WORKED OUTINCIDENT

With the arrest of accused Mohd. Salman S/o Mohd. Islammudin R/o H.No. 321 Budh Bazar

Road Harsh Vihar Delhi AATS , Outer District worked out four cases of Motor Vehicle theft and

recovered four M/Cycles stolen from PS Vijay Vihar, PS Narela, PS Sadar Bazar and PS I.P. Estate.

INVESTIGATION/TEAMDue to sudden rise in incidents of MV theft in the area of Outer Distt., Delhi during these days, a

special team comprising of Police officers of AATS/OD including Insp. Swadesh Prakash, SI Ram

Kumar, ASI Sajjan Pal, ASI Anil Kumar, HC Ajay Pal, HC Balraj, Ct. Rajbir, Ct. Rajeev Raghav, Ct.

Ramesh Rana and Ct. Bijender was constituted to pay special attention towards culprits involved in MV

theft under the close supervision of Shri Ved Prakash, ACP/Rohini. The team worked hard as directed

and team members started kept on chasing movements of suspected auto-lifters. On 20.10.12 at about

5:00 PM during Vehicle checking near Jaipur Golden Hospital one person came from Nahar Pur Market

side on a black Bajaj Pulsar motor cycle bearing registration no. DL6S AJ 0593. The person was stopped

with the help of barricades and asked to produce the documents of M/Cycle but suddenly he tried to

escape with m/cycle. On this M/Cycle slipped and the person started running towards jhuggi of Sec-3

Rohini. But he was chased and over powered by the Ct. Ramesh Rana and Ct. Bijender. After

interrogation he disclosed his name as Mohd. Salman S/o Mohd. Islammudin R/o H.No. 321 Budh Bazar

Road Harsh Vihar Delhi. Accused Mohd. Salman could not produce any relevant documents of above

said M/Cycle. On sustained interrogation he disclosed that he had stolen the same m/cycle from a parking

in the area Sadar Bazar Delhi. The m/cycle was found to be stolen vide Fir No. 137/12 u/s 379 IPC PS

Sadar Bazar Delhi. He was arrested u/s 41.1(d) CrPC and motorcycle was taken in police possession u/s

102 CrPC. During further investigation after he made his disclosure statement and got recovered three

more stolen motor cycle no. DL7S BB 2541 stolen vide FIR No. 196/12 PS IP Estate, M/Cycle No.

DL9SQ 6290 stolen vide FIR No. 239/12 PS Vijay Vihar and M/Cycle No. DL8S AH 8101 stolen vide

FIR No. 617/11 PS Narela.

TWO CRIMINALS ARRESTED AND A MURDER CASE WORKED OUTHIGHLIGHTS:

Two accused namely Bintoo and Bilal arrested by the staff of PS Narela.

One Screw Driver & Suitcase at the instance of accused Bintoo and One Danda & a bag at the instance of accused Bilal recovered.

BRIEF FACTS:With the arrest of accused Bintoo (age– 28 yrs) S/o Om Parkash r/o H.

No. B-193 Metro Vihar Phase-1 Holambi Kalan Delhi and Bilal (age 21yrs) S/o Mofizuddin R/O C-206 Metro Vihar Phase -1 Holambi Kalan, the Narela police have worked out the murder case registered vide FIR No. 567/12 dated 15.10.12 u/s 302/34 IPC P.S. Narela, Delhi.

INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION:-

On the night of 15.10.12, A PCR Call vide DD No. 4A was received at PS Narela regarding death due to assault. The call was marked to SI Deepak Sangwan who along with Ct. Babu Singh reached near H.No. 36 A Block J J Colony Bawana where it was learnt that injured was taken to MB Hospital. On reaching the hospital Ram Babu S/o Surat Lal Bhagat R/o A-Block Jhuggi JJ Colony Bawana was found declared brought Dead vide MLC No. 3954/12.On the statement of eye witness Shri Ram S/o Mudhuban Gupta R/o A-37 J J Colony Bawana ,who stated that he was on duty as watchman near the place of occurrence. One person namely Ram Babu was sleeping outside his jhuggi when four persons armed with screw driver and danda attacked Ram Babu and beat him. Two persons entered the jhuggi and came out with bag and suitcase. When he tried to stop them, he was threatened and the four persons escaped into darkness, Case FIR No.567/12 dated 15.10.12 U/S 302/34 IPC was registered and investigation was taken up.

A team comprising of SHO Narela & Inspr. Naresh Kumar, HC Chaman No.1013/OD, Ct Raghuvinder No.1353/ OD ,Ct Narayan No.1064/OD & Ct. Dipti 634/OD of PS Narela, under the close supervision of Sh. Rajiv Ranjan Singh, ACP/ Alipur was constituted to nab the criminal. During the course of investigation, several suspects inculuding BC’s and ruffians of PS Narela,Bawana, Shabad Dairy & adjoining Haryana were interrogated. On 20.10.12,On the basis of secret information, Bintoo S/o Om Parkash r/o H. No. B-193 Metro Vihar Phase-1 Holambi Kalan Delhi, age– 28 yrs, Billal S/o Mofizuddin R/O C-206 Metro Vihar Phase -1 Holambi Kalan age 21yrs, were nabbed and interrogated at length who disclosed to have killed Ram Babu along with two associates namely Hemant & Anwar. The duo got recovered bag & suitcase taken by them from the Jhuggi of deceased. They have also got recovered screw driver & danda used in the commission of crime. The Coaccussed Hemant & Anwar are absconding.The accused are smack addicts and committed crime to make quick buck.

2 Auto-Lifters arrested

7 luxury stolen Car recovered

South District Police of PS Neb Sarai has recovered seven luxury Cars stolen from different parts of NCR. The police have arrested two auto lifters Mohd. Irshad and Mohd Azim.ARRESTED PERSONS

1. Mohd. Irshad, Aged 39 years S/o Mohd. Kalan R/o H.No. 16 Tanki Wali Gali, Khatta Kheri, PS Qutub Sher, Distt. Saharanpur UP.

2. Mohd. Azim, Aged 27 years S/o Mohd. Zahir Anwar R/o Anand Nagar, Near Darpan Cinema, Ambala Road, PS Qutub Sher Distt. Saharanpur UP.

INCIDENTOn 16.10.12, on receipt of a secret information, a team of police

personals from PS Neb Sarai, South District started vehicles checking Picket at L-Ist Sangam Vihar and during the checking Mohd. Irshad above who was coming on a TATA Indigo Car was intercepted and stopped. On asking for the documents of the vehicle he could not produce any document. On verification, the said Indigo car was found stolen from the area of PS Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, UP vide FIR No. 583/12. It was also found that the number plate which was being used by accused at the time of apprehension was also fake, the original no. of the said stolen car was found to be RJ 05CA 3132. He was arrested u/s 41.1(d) Cr.P.C. vide DD No. 69B dated 16-10-12PS Neb Sarai, Delhi.TEAM A police team consisting of SI Manmeet Malik, SI Parvesh Lamba, HC Manohar No. 170/SD, HC Ashok No. 11947/DAP, Ct Ritesh No. 1758/SD, Ct Jai Kumar No. 2888/SD, Ct Umesh No. 1726/SD, Ct Vikas No. 2181/SD, Ct Pradeep No. 1683/SD, Ct Pradeep No. 1128/SD, Ct. On sustained interrogation, Mohd. Irshad disclosed that he along with his co-accused person has committed various auto theft cases in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. He further disclosed the name of other associates namely Mohd. Azim above and Kanwarpal S/o Surat Singh R/o Jind, Haryana who assisted him in theft of the vehicles and preparing forged registration certificates. He also disclosed about having stolen an Indigo car from the area of PS Neb Sarai which on verification was found to have been reported vidw FIR No. 259/12 dated 15-09-12 u/s 379 IPC PS Neb Sarai. He also disclosed that he along with his associates had sold the stolen cars in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. He was taken on Police remand and at his instance 5 other stolen cars were recovered and co-accused Mohd. Azim was also arrested. Another stolen Santro and Tata Indigo Cars were also recovered thereafter.
