We will leave on a motor coach from Ochsner Kenner with a pick up at 7:30 a.m. and then pick up at St. Charles Parish Hospital at 8:00 a.m. and then pick up at Ochsner River Parish 8:30 a.m. Overnight accommodations are at the Best Western Hotel, 10 minutes from the heart of the city. Ochsner Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Leyton Orillion, will be our guest speaker to discuss “Holiday Depression.” The holidays bring reminders of days past and dealing with loss. Please join us for our Golden Opportunity Christmas luncheon to be held at Ormond Plantation, Our luncheon will be held in the main dining room, from 11:30 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. The cost is $55.00 which includes lunch and entertainment. January 18, 2017 (Wednesday): Southern Food & Beverage Museum and Toups’ Meatery Restaurant

Please join us in traveling to the Southern Food & Beverage Museum, located in New Orleans on Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. The Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to the discovery, understanding and celebration of the food, drink and the related culture of the South. While based in New Orleans, the Museum examines and celebrates all the cultures that have come together through the centuries to create South’s unique culinary heritage. Adjacent to the Museum is the Toups’ Meatery Restaurant. Toups’ has an extensive menu, an interesting wine list along with, craft cocktails and featured “brown liquors” (Bourbon). From the meticulously maintained grounds to our popular New Orleans-style restaurant, Annadele’s provides the perfect backdrop for sharing a great lunch and even better opportunity to socialize with your Golden Opportunity friends. We will begin pickup at River Parish at 8:30 a.m., St. Charles Parish Hospital 9:00 a.m., then Ochsner Kenner at 9:30 a.m. We will then head to Annadele’s which is located in Covington, LA.
