THE WORKFLOW

• Shoot in HD onto Mini-DV Tape and Tethered into iMac

• Pausing per slide

• Use slides to cover up cut point

• Chroma Key out Green Screen

SHOOTING IN HD

•Need LOTS of light

• Lights should be large and soft

• Audio recorded at -12Db, Mixed at -6Db to -12Db

• HD makes Chroma Key easier and harder

THE BEST CHROMA KEY

• Green or Blue?

• Evenly lit background

• Light Subject well (3 Point lighting system)

• Placement ( Subjects height + 2ft)

FAKING A TELEPROMPTER

• Use a lens hood

• Tape slides to lens hood (Max 2 pages landscape)

• Place computer directly under lens

• Shoot at eye level

USING A DSLR

• Shallow Depth of field

• Keep it steady, use a tripod or steady-cam rig

• Can get into tricky places

•Wide variety of lens to be more creative
