Setting up a Project -• Open Final Cut• Create a new project• Save Project As (in your folder and name the project)• Open the Log and capture screen• Select the 3rd tab and click the Capture Scratch Button*• Point the Capture Scratch to the FCP DOCS folder in your folder*

Capturing Video -• Open the Log and Capture window• Make sure your capture scratch is set to your FCP DOCS folder*• Make sure the deck is in remote (as opposed to local)• Use the JKL keys to scrub through the video• Use the I and 0 key to set in and out points• Select "Log Clip" to name• Once all clips have been logged, use the apple key and select them all and click

the batch capture button.• Make sure you handles are on and the amount of time to be captured looks

correct. *• Click, ok then Continue

Exporting Video -• Make sure the sequence you are working in is selected in your browser• Go to File>Export>Export QuickTime• Make sure you are saving in your folder• Change the name from sequence # to something more accurate• Click ok
