Promoting Inspirational Work Practices
Conference Information PackageWelcome to the Victorian Regional/Rural Youth Conference on Innovative, and Interactive ways to work with Young People, to be held on Thursday 5th
of June 2014 in Traralgon, Victoria.
We are bringing together dynamic and innovative people working in the youth sector, to share past achievements and present goals for the future. We will showcase programs that provide positive outcomes for clients within a stimulating and rewarding work environment for practitioners.
With key note speakers and hands on experiences of interactive program approaches, the conference will provide opportunities to discuss and experience a diversity of issues with colleagues working with youth. We are keen to include the diversity of expertise that makes rural and regional practice unique and vibrant.
Innovative and engaging ways to work with young people, providing hopeful outcomes for clients and positive work experiences for practitioners will be centrally positioned. The use of social enterprise to enhance service delivery will be showcased.
The conference will feature a presentation from local youth on issues generated at their Youth Fair organised by and for young people in Gippsland held in April 2014.

Letter of InvitationOn behalf of the Quantum Support Service we are delighted to invite you to present at the Victoria Rural Conference on Innovative and Interactive ways to work with young people in June 2014.
This Conference will bring together practitioners, researchers and educators from across the region. This is an opportunity to share experiences in youth work across a broad range of practice areas including but not exclusive to youth housing, leaving care, out of home care, refugee and multicultural youth, mental health, disability, homelessness, parenting and child protection.
You are invited to be a part of this Conference whether you work in practice, policy, education or social development. We are seeking commitments (in principle) from local agencies in the first instance to present at the conference after which broader canvassing will occur. Presentations on social enterprise and self funded services are encouraged. The conference also encourages submissions on programs that bring a sense of fun to the challenging work that we do.
Attached is an expression of interest form. In consideration of tight timelines, expressions of interest are encouraged to enable forward planning and secure positions on the program.
We look forward to hearing from you in the next week.
