Personal Statement

I am recent History MA graduate from the University of Exeter university currently looking for immediate, part time employment. I have spent the past four months working in a busy, high-pressure customer services and admin environment in which I was the main call taker for the business. My past educational and employment history has enabled me to become a self-motivated, flexible and outgoing individual with initiative and a positive outlook. Rigorous academic life at two Russell Group universities as well as living and studying abroad in Germany has allowed me to develop excellent communication and language skills, personal organization and the ability to thrive in a high pressure environment. Consistent employment throughout my studies can attest to my ability to multi-task, take on new challenges, and also demonstrates that in addition to personal studies, I am able to work well as part of a team and even demonstrate leadership capability. I also bake and sell my own artisan cakes, which allows me both a creative outlet, and a way in which to engage with a competitive market as a budding entrepreneur.

During my spare time, I bake and sell a variety of baked goods for events such as weddings, parties and birthdays. This also involves advertising my work through social media in addition to using sales tactics to gain customers. Portfolio available upon request.

Silver Service waitressing in an incredibly busy, high-pressure environment. Duties also included working behind the bar, and occasionally preparing and plating food in the kitchen.
