Vickie E. Turner is a partner at Wilson Turner Kosmo LLP. Vickie has 38 years of experience in complexlitigation matters filed against corporations, with extensive emphasis in the areas of product liability, classactions, general business litigation and warranty.

Vickie has successfully defended manufacturers, distributors and retailers in complex product liability claimsthroughout California, and in 12 other western states. She was defense counsel for Ford Motor Company in aproduct liability case that was named one of the Top 20 Defense Counsel Verdicts. She was selected as oneof California’s Top Women Litigators by the Los Angeles Daily Journal, and has been named one of SanDiego’s top product liability defense attorneys by San Diego Super Lawyers® each year from 2007-2020. Shewas chosen for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® each year from 2010, through 2020 in the area ofproduct liability, and named the Best Lawyers’ 2012 and 2018 San Diego Product Liability Litigation -Defendants Lawyer of the Year. She has been selected as one of the Top 25 Women Attorneys in San Diegonumerous times. She was also honored by Union Bank and KPBS as a “local hero” for her community serviceand as the 2015 Woman of the Year for the California 79th Assembly District.

Vickie has represented a wide array of companies in the defense of tort and business disputes. Throughout hercareer, Vickie has actively participated in lengthy trials, mediations and arbitrations, and has defendednumerous class action lawsuits, including consumer class actions, unfair business practices, and theTelephone Consumer Protection Act.

Vickie joined Wilson Turner Kosmo as a partner in 1998 after being an associate and partner with Luce,Forward, Hamilton & Scripps in San Diego for 16 years. Obtained summary judgment for an automotive manufacturer in a product liability action on the basis thatthere was (1) no evidence that the subject vehicle was defective and (2) no evidence that the allegeddefects caused the plaintiff’s injuries. Obtained summary judgment for a fitness company in a premises liability action on the basis that theplaintiff’s claims were barred by the release she signed and the primary assumption of the risk doctrine.
