The VIBCODE conceptVIBCODE obtains all the measure-ment location information fromthe red code ring (shown on theleft) placed in the measurementstud: it is encoded by breaking offspecific teeth to form the requiredcode. The transducer fulfills twofunctions: First, it deciphers thecode ring and then retrieves therequired machine signals. Thecombination of measurementstuds and transducer guaranteesreliable machine evaluation by en-suring that measurements are al-ways taken in the same location, inthe same direction and with thesame amount of pressure.

VIBCODE is the world's first intel-ligent system to encode the mea-surement stud with location num-ber and measurement type. A spe-cial patented probe locks onto thestud, ensuring excellent signaltransmission and repeatability. Italso allows VIBROTIP to recognizeeach location and to take the ap-propriate measurement(s) fully au-tomatically. By allowing any opera-tor to collect accurate data, thisenhances trending reliability andeliminates repeat measurementsdue to mixups.

OMNITREND The common software plat-form for all systemsOMNITREND is the common PCplatform for all level 1/level 2 in-struments. It automatically adaptsits functionality to the active instru-ment and, thus, enables the opti-mum preparation and evaluationof the machine data.

To monitor the condition of themachine, it is usually sufficient touse a simple data collector torecord the characteristic parame-ters ( Level 1 ). If one of thesecharacteristic parameters changesappreciably, the cause must be in-vestigated and an in-depth diagno-sis is required. The machine analyz-er now comes into its own ( Level2 ). In contrast to the data collec-tor, this requires a skilled operator.This dual strategy of machine mon-itoring results in the efficient use ofexisting resources and provides allvital information concerning themachine park.
