ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA A motion was made by Ms. Papasian-Broadwell, supported by Mr. White that the Board of Education accept the agenda of the Regular Board of Education Meeting of Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Yes: All No: None Motion Carried: 6-0 III. STUDENT, STAFF AND ALUMNI AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS In recognition of March is Reading Month, Dr. Livernois acknowledged the many classroom teachers within Warren Consolidated Schools for helping their students learn how to read, and achieve this lifelong skill. Two students from Beer Middle School recently participated in the Optimist International Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at the MISD this past weekend. Both students were awarded a certificate, a medal, and scholarship money. A group of 5 th grade students from Jefferson Elementary recently placed 3rd at the Macomb County Battle of the Books competition sponsored by the Clinton-Macomb Public Library. The Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts (WCSPA) will host Disney's Alice in Wonderland. JR. at 7:30 p.m., March 22 and March 23 at the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Sterling Heights High School. This production is being sponsored by Extra Credit Union. Proceeds from the March 23 rd performance will benefit the district's Blessings in a Backpack program. A former Warren Mott High School graduate was recognized for his service in the United States Air Force. A Warren Mott Marauder flag, that he had requested to take with him on his upcoming deployment, was displayed and will be sent to him before his departure. A. UNITED DAIRY INDUSTRY OF MICHIGAN GRANT Kari Elenbaas, Chief Financial Officer along with Caroline Dylewski, Director of Nutrition Services, accepted a grant in the amount of $5,000.00 which was presented to them by Emily Mattern from the United Dairy Industry of Michigan. IV. PRESENTATIONS A. NATIONAL SCHOOL BREAKFAST WEEK 2019 Caroline Dylewski, Director of Nutrition Services, presented an overview of National School Breakfast Week 2019 as listed in Addendum No. 2.

The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education was held in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 31300 Anita Drive, Warren, Michigan

I. CALL TO ORDER BY PRESIDENT TROMBLEY

The meeting was called to order by President Trombley at 7:34 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Ms. Papasian-Broadwell followed by the reading of the District's Mission Statement.

II. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA

A motion was made by Ms. Papasian-Broadwell, supported by Mr. White that the Board of Education accept the agenda of the Regular Board of Education Meeting of Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Yes: All No: None Motion Carried: 6-0

III. STUDENT, STAFF AND ALUMNI AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS

In recognition of March is Reading Month, Dr. Livernois acknowledged the many classroom teachers within Warren Consolidated Schools for helping their students learn how to read, and achieve this lifelong skill.

Two students from Beer Middle School recently participated in the Optimist International Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at the MISD this past weekend. Both students were awarded a certificate, a medal, and scholarship money.

2. Financial Report for January 2019 Accounts Payable for January 2019 $4,374,613.72 Electronic Transactions for January 2019 $9,309,372.75

3. Approval of the hiring of the Warren Education Association (WEA) employees as listed in Addendum No. 3.

4. Approval of the hiring of the Local Union 1346 employees as listed in Addendum No.4.

5. Approval of the hiring of the Local Union 1815 employees as listed in Addendum No. 5.

6. Acceptance of the Resignation/Retirement notification of a Warren Consolidated Schools employee as listed in Addendum No. 6 .

7. Affirmation of the expulsion recommendations of three Carter Middle School students as listed in Addendum No. 7.

A motion was made by Mr. White, supported by Ms. Berdy, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and approve the items on the Consent Agenda.

A. RESOLUTION - MARCH IS READING MONTH - MARCH 2019

A motion was made by Ms. Berdy, supported by Mr. White, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and recognize March 2019 as March is Reading Month and adopt the resolution as listed in Addendum No. 8.

Yes: All No: None Motion Carried: 6-0

B. RESOLUTION- MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS- MARCH 2019

A motion was made by Mr. White, supported by Mr. Weckerle, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and recognize March 2019 as Music in Our Schools Month and adopt the resolution as listed in Addendum No. 9.

D. RESOLUTION-SOCIAL WORK MONTH-MARCH 2019

A motion was made by Ms. Berdy, supported by Ms. Papasian-Broadwell. that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and recognize March 2019 as Social Work Month and adopt the resolution as listed in Addendum No. 11.

E. RESOLUTION - WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH-MARCH 2019

A motion was made by Mr. White, supported by Ms. Jozwik, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and hereby recognize March 2019 as Women's History Month and adopt the resolution as listed in Addendum No. 12.

F. RESOLUTION- NATIONAL SCHOOL BREAKFAST WEEK 2019- MARCH 4-8, 2019

A motion was made by Ms. Jozwik, supported by Mr. White, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and adopt the National School Breakfast Week 2019 - March 4-8, 2019 resolution as listed in Addendum No. 13.

G. RESOLUTION -ACCEPTANCE OF THE JUNE 30, 2018 BOND AUDIT REPORT BY UHY LLP

A motion was made by Mr. White, supported by Ms. Papasian-Broadwell, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and accept the Audit Report for the 2016 Bui I ding and Site Series A Capital Projects Fund and the 2018 Building and Site Capital Projects Fund for the 12 month period ending June 30, 2018 as presented by the independent accounting firm of UHY LLP as listed in Addendum No. 14.

H. RESOLUTION - 2016 BOND AUTHORIZATION - 2019 SCHOOL BUILDING AND SITE BONDS

A motion was made by Ms. Jozwik, supported by Ms. Papasian-Broadwell. that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and adopt the 2016 Bond Authorization - 2019 School Building and Site Bonds in an amount not to exceed $43,035,000.00 as listed in Addendum No. 15.

A motion was made by Mr. White, supported by Ms. Jozwik, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and award a three (3) year contract, from March 15, 2019 through June 30, 2022, to PowerSchool Unified (Talent) for the purchase of Hire, Records, Professional Learning, and Perform software as listed in Addendum No. 16.
