Queridos feligreses,
Se construyó un nuevo santuario para Nuestra Señora Reina
de la Paz y el domingo 26 de mayo se consagró. El Club de
Hombres del Sagrado Corazón realizó este proyecto. El san-
tuario se puede encontrar en la entrada exterior de la Ofici-
na de Educación Religiosa. Proporciona un nuevo lugar para
la reflexión y la oración que permitirá a nuestra comunidad
parroquial crecer en santidad.
Santísima Virgen María, por tu divina maternidad, has mere-
cido compartir la prerrogativa de la realeza universal de tu
Hijo. Te veneramos como la Reina de la Paz, una invocación
derramada con gran fervor desde nuestros corazones. Que
su poderosa intercesión nos defienda de toda discordia y
dirija nuestros corazones en los caminos de la paz y la frater-
nidad. Obtenga para nosotros paz y concordia en nuestra
parroquia y nuestras familias, paz en nuestros corazones y
caridad cristiana en todo el mundo. Amén.
La estatua de Nuestra Señora está rodeada por una gruta de
piedra caliza cortada sobre una base escalonada. Las diver-
sas capas de piedra caliza que rodean la estatua de Nuestra
Señora forman un arco apuntado. Una luz brilla en el santu-
ario, un hermoso escenario para la oración después de la
puesta del sol.

Dear Parishioners,
A new shrine to Our Lady Queen of Peace has been con-
structed and on Sunday, May 26 was consecrated. The
Sacred Heart Men’s Club carried out this project. The
shrine can be found at the outside entrance to the Reli-
gious Education Office. It provides a new place for reflec-
tion and prayer that will enable our parish community to
grow in holiness.
Most holy Virgin Mary by your divine maternity you have
merited to share in the prerogative of your Son’s universal
kingship. We venerate you as the Queen of Peace, an invo-
cation poured forth with great fervor from our hearts. May
your powerful intercession defend us from all discord and
direct our hearts in the ways of peace and brotherhood.
Obtain for us peace and concord in our parish and our
families, peace in our hearts and Christian charity through-
out the world. Amen.
The statue of Our Lady is surrounded by a grotto of cut
limestone on a stepped base. The various layers of lime-
stone that surround the statue of Our Lady form a pointed
arch. A light shines on the shrine a beautiful setting for
prayer after sunset.

Easter jubilee. Now, filled with the
Sprit, we must live and proclaim what
we have celebrated. We are called to
witness to the power of Christ to
transform hearts and mind and our
whole world. The presence of the Holy
Spirit is manifested when here is uni-
ty, reconciliation, zeal and peace. In
the Gospel on Sunday, Jesus tells the
disciples that they are sent now as he
was sent. It is our mission now. The
Spirit has been given—let’s act!
