REFRAMING THE DIALOGUEWhile in the early 70’s only nine countries were affected by the disease, recent estimates have shown that up to 128 countries are under the threat of this infection involving 390 million people.
Limited effective and affordable tools hampered the effective control of this infection locally and globally. The current global investment for dengue control is not equally balanced with the burden of the disease.
It is high time to reframe the conversation on dengue.
