Vermont Department of Libraries Presenters:
Warren Public Library will host Michael Caduto
Saturday, July 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
On Your Mark, Get Set, and Run! Active games keep your body in
shape and your mind fit for reading! Come join popular
children’s author, storyteller and musician Michael Caduto for an
exciting hour of games in the Native American tradition as well
as stories, music and a circle dance.
A participatory family program!
Joslin Memorial Library will host Christine Mix
Saturday, July 30th at 10:30 –12:00 In this fun 1 and ½ hour program children will have an opportunity to draw, design and color their own game boards, in the classic Candy Land style. Children will use their imagination to create their own game worlds to share with family and friends.
These programs are funded, in part, by a grant from the
Vermont Department of Libraries.

LAWN GAMES: Gather on the green outside of the library for a variety of lawn games! All ages encouraged to attend.
MINDFULNESS: Create a labyrinth, color mandalas and create calming jars to take home!
MOVIE NIGHT: PG movie with a sports theme.
PICKLEBALL: Meet at Brooks Recreational Field tennis courts and learn how to play Pickleball. All ages encouraged to attend
CHOCOLATE OLYMPICS:Oreo stacking, chocolate trivia, M&M sorting and more to compete for the gold!
ART JAM: Make art while listening to music – if you enjoy creative, open ended art activities- this is perfect for you!
DISC GOLF: Disc Golf is a great low-impact outdoor game played with rules very similar to golf. You’ll have fun learning this great game that you can enjoy for life. Location tba.
SOCIAL JUSTICE BOOK GROUP: This special event for youth and adults (parents/caregivers) will explore award winning book, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer. All our libraries have copies. Sponsored by the Mad River Libraries. Location: Joslin Memorial Library. Ages 10 and up. Join us!
VALLEY-WIDE KICKBALL GAME- All ages are invited to a spirited game of kickball with book related fun between the innings. Couples Field in Waitsfield.
GAMES OF NATURE HIKE: Take a hike and learn about the different games nature plays. We will also play some nature games ourselves. NATURE BOAT RACES: Craft a small boat out of natural materials, then see how fast it can go in a race down the Mad River.
WRITERS WORKSHOP WITH ERIN MOULTON: With roots in the Mad River Valley, author Erin Moulton will offer deep immersion writing prompts exploring perspective, empathy, characters, and setting as well as "Keepers of the Labyrinth" trivia and a medallion craft. Limited to 15 participants, call or email to register.
FAMILY CAMPFIRE FUN: Join us as a family for interactive songs, stories and s'mores by the fire.
