WHAT IS SOCIAL MEDIA?
![Page 22: Vermont Connected - Engaged Communities](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052621/558a4ea5d8b42a69128b4726/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
![Page 23: Vermont Connected - Engaged Communities](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052621/558a4ea5d8b42a69128b4726/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
Social media is what you make it. It’s a place to engage, to share, to learn and to connect.
The tools change weekly. The basic principles don’t.
![Page 24: Vermont Connected - Engaged Communities](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052621/558a4ea5d8b42a69128b4726/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
GETTING STARTED
![Page 25: Vermont Connected - Engaged Communities](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052621/558a4ea5d8b42a69128b4726/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
The Basics Build your audience before you need it. Manage the information. Use a few tools well, rather than all the tools poorly. Create a system that is as automatic as possible.
![Page 26: Vermont Connected - Engaged Communities](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052621/558a4ea5d8b42a69128b4726/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)

![Page 28: Vermont Connected - Engaged Communities](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052621/558a4ea5d8b42a69128b4726/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
