The history of Murano glassmaking dates back to the 12th century. From that moment on, local Murano glassmakers explored and refined new methods to create the finest and the most sought after glassware in Europe. In the 1920’s for instance, art deco was all the rage which

inspired the local craftsmen to produce glassware with a focus on interior design, minimalism, functionality and simplicity. Today that ethos still reverberates with the Venetian artisans. Their magnificent and unique

work is now the centrepiece of a new range of brilliant, transparent, coloured designer glass bricks called Venetian.
