Dear Valued Vendor:

I would like to extend an invitation to you and your company to join us at the 88th North Atlantic Regional Conference (NARC). The Conference will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 through Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, 1 Convention Boulevard, Atlantic City, New Jersey.

As one of the largest regional conferences within the organization, attendance is expected to be greater than 4,000 members. We hope you will join us to showcase your business as we focus on “Leading With A High Note.” We are currently taking vendor applications. Please be advised that approved vendors must be currently authorized by the Corporate Office of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Additionally, you must have an individual/business vendor permit/license and insurance.

*Member Vendor Booth: $700.00 Authorized Vendor Booth: $750.00 Corner Booth: $1,000.00

*The member vendor rate only applies to active members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., who have anauthorized business registered in their name.

Please also note that the vendor fee is non-refundable.

To participate in the conference, kindly submit the following: 1. Please send an email relaying your interest to [email protected] with a copy to the

88th NARC Vendors Committee at [email protected];2. Complete the attached vendor application. Email your application (.pdf format preferred)

to [email protected];3. Once you have received confirmation that your vendor application has been approved,

please remit appropriate vendor payment via certified check or money order payable to:AKA NORTH ATLANTIC REGION (PERSONAL CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED). Ifyou prefer to pay electronically, an EventBrite link will be provided (fees apply).

4. Provide a copy of your 2019 Authorized Business/Vendor License from the Alpha KappaAlpha Sorority, Inc.® Corporate Office and insurance certificate.

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee that we can accommodate your request. Vendor assignments are at the discretion of the planning committee upon approval of the Regional Director.

All booths, including high visibility corner booths will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

The Regional Director reserves the right to assign booth space. Standard exhibit space includes 10’ by 10’ booths with 8’ high back wall; 3’ high sidewall; one (1) six’ draped table; two (2) side chairs, one (1) wastebasket and booth sign. All vendor merchandise must fit within the area provided by the conference. Additional services are available at an additional cost.

The application deadline is . Once accepted, payment must be received, not postmarked, by March 6, 2019.

Prior to the conference, you will receive an acknowledgement of your payment and a follow up notice that will include your booth location(s) and shipping information.

All approved vendors should arrive by 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 to set up. Upon arrival, you will be checked in by the Vendor Committee and directed to your designated space.

The Vendor Area will be closed during the conference Plenary Sessions. The hours of operation, except during plenary sessions, are as follows:

Show Move-In: Wednesday, April 3, 2019, 9:00 - 11:00 P.M. Show Dates: Thursday, April 4, 2019 to Sunday, April 7, 2019. Show Move-Out: Sunday, April 7, 2019, 2:00 - 6:00 P.M.

The Vendor Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2019.

" NAR AKAKurrency" are certificates treated like money toward purchases with vendors during the conference. AKAKurrency will be given to registered attendees to spend at participating vendors during the conference. The certificate (AKAKurrency) must bear BOTH the printed name and signature of the attendee for verification of purchase. As a vendor, if you choose to participate--which is entirely voluntary, you will be reimbursed for the total kurrency redeemed by attendees at your booth. For example, if you collect $50 in AKAKurrency, it will be redeemed for $50 by the North Atlantic Region.

AKAKurrency must be redeemed through the NAR Financial Secretary (or her designees) at the close of business Sunday April 7, 2019. Reimbursement checks will be mailed within 14 business days of the conclusion of the conference. You will receive additional instructions on the redemption process at the beginning of the conference.

The Vendor Area will close at 2:00 P.M. Sunday April 7th and all vendors must be completely moved out by 6:00 P.M.

Approved Vendors may book lodging at the Ocean Resorts Casino at the conference rate. All reservations will be charged a non-refundable deposit of one (1) night’s room rate plus all applicable taxes. This fee will be charged to the credit card on file at booking and is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.

Bookings at Ocean Resorts Casino may be made by phone at (866) 506-2326. The code for the AKA block is G-AKAE. Dedicated AKA Shuttles are provided directly from the Ocean Resort Casino to the Convention Center in a continuous loop.

Applications are reviewed continuously. The planning committee will acknowledge receipt of all applications.
