training centre and also provided the training of “Amber Charkha”. Due to the Kendra‟s overwhelming
response and success, public leaders like Shri. Jai Prakash Narayan, Gandhiest Hari Bhau Uppadhayay,
Durga Bai Deshmukh, Dr. Sushila Nayar, Raja Rao Kalyan Singh, Shri. Gokul Bhai Bhatt and the former
chief minister Shri Mohan Lal Sukhadia visited and appreciated its efforts. Shri Lakshmi Narayanji
Agarwal later established “Sterlite Matri Mangal Mahila Mahavidhalaya” in Ringus, Rajasthan on 17th
August 1995 as a tribute to his native land where Shri Narayan Dasji Maharaj laid the foundation stone.
In the first year itself, the college offered a course in the Arts stream at a graduate level with 8 subjects
and served strength of 46 students. To achieve the college‟s vision the dedicated and competent faculty
works with the aim to deliver an efficient performance. The college is well-known in the field of
education not only in Shekhawaty area but also in the whole of Rajasthan.
As a step to further promote women education, the college in 1999-2000 started post graduate courses in
Public Administration, Political Science and Hindi Literature. Practical subjects like Drawing & Painting
and Computer Application were introduced at graduate level in the session of 2002-2003. Considering the

new stream. Moreover, Geography was included as an additional subject in the existing Arts stream.

Placement activities
We believe that no student should be deprived of education on the basis of financial constraint. To
support the financially weaker students, the college has started the following initiatives:
Special Provisions for Financially Weaker Students under Caste & tribes
categories
Under this scheme students can collect the prescribed application form from the college and submit the
same for waiver of tuition fees, along with required documents. The college management decision will be
final regarding the grant of these scholarships.
“Earn while you learn”
The college management has provided a conducive earning opportunity through gainful employment of
college students with the objective of ensuring continuity of education of financially weak students. The
call center has been set up within the college campus to provide employment opportunity to the college
students on part time basis post study hours. The students can avail this opportunity to support their
education and gain experience and earn about Rs. 3500-4000 pm.
