Job Title: VBA Developer
Reason for the position being available: Special Project, Markets and Analytics
Duties:
Work with project managers, technical leads and clients globally through the whole SDLC, understanding systems requirements, designing and writing code, testing and QA, and clearly documenting the development process.
Analyse and re-engineer complex existing spreadsheet models built by business users and clients to achieve efficiencies and eliminate risk.
Skills:
Technical:
Extensive hands-on Excel development experience(Advanced Excel Functions, 3rd Party API’s)
Extensive VBA development experience (User Defined Functions, scratch written code, Error Handling, Process Validation, Forms and ADO / recordset handing).
Must be able to adhere to coding standards. Must be able to interpret & remediate spreadsheets developed by business users and clients
to reduce process and spreadsheet risk, improve automation and add efficiency.
General:
Requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to think on your feet Interest in the Financial Industry, experience in Financial / Investment / Asset Management
preferred Knowledge of financial and risk modelling a bonus Time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines a must Must be prepared to travel and hold a valid passport enabling travel to the EU and Singapore
