Art PLATnM-B Week of 4/12/21 This week, Rooms 304, 217, 207, 315, and 309 will have music every day! K-1 will continue learning to sing with solfege and will learn the difference between beat and no beat. 2-3 will meet the String family of instruments and learn a folk song from China. 4-5 will use Isle of Tune to create musical adventures and 6-8 will analyze the structure of their favorite songs and will invent their own musical instruments! -Mr. Raezer [email protected] Music Happy spring! This week we will shift gears and move into fiction. Students in grades K-5 will read fairy tales and fables. Middle School will read a variety of short stories. Primary students will practice some basketball skills and games, intermediate will practice underhand and overhand throws while also learning about baseball, and middle schoolers will learn about baseball and bowling concepts. Mr. Tang ([email protected]) Technology In the year 2021 This week in the Art Room: #303, 117, 212, 313 & 308 We are exploring and being inspired by the work of Maya Lin and Georgia O’Keeffe. Our focus is on creating impressions and expression through color. Please be sure you have oil pastels. (Kindergarten students have the choice of using crayons) I have put together art kits containing oil pastels, black marker, and plenty of paper, If you do not have these items, please pick up a kit in the lobby of the school….anytime between 7:30am and 3pm school days. These are free and yours to keep! = Do Your Best-Be Your Best!! = Mrs. Cairns [email protected] • Primary students are making games and stories, while practicing their coding skills on codeSpark. They also explore using Google Apps for productivity. • Upper grade students are creating their own This or That workout choices with video recording and image animation.
