2015 年工作實習 (CO-OP) 申請注意事項
Greystone College 工作實習課程 (CO-OP) 申請要求如下:
申請 Greystone College 有薪工作實習課程 (PAID CO-OP)的學生,除報名費、材料費和學費外,
還需付 CO-OP 基本服務費原價加幣$500 元 (促銷價格請參考春季優惠方案)
1. 加幣 $500 元基本服務費包括幫您申請學生及工作簽證、申請工作卡號碼 (SIN number)、以
及審閱工作實習期間的工作報告
2. 基本服務費並不包括幫助學生安排工作
3. 申請工作簽證或延長學生簽證所衍生的任何相關政府手續費用,學生則需另行付費
4. Greystone College 另外提供標準服務 (Standard Service) ,費用為加幣 $325 元
Greystone College 工作實習部門會向申請標準服務 (Standard Service) 的學生提供最多 2 個面試機會。但不保證面試的學生一定會被雇主錄取。雇主的錄取是依據學生的語言技能、學習經歷、專業資質、以及本地當時勞工市場的情況而決定。學生通過第一次面試即被錄取,則必須接受該工作。如果學生經過所有的面試後皆未獲得錄用,申請人須將自行負責尋找工作,在這種情況下概不退款
5. 到達 Greystone College 之前,學生不能申請標準服務 (Standard Service)項目,學生必須在入
學後才可以申請標準服務(Standard Service Fee)
申請 Greystone College 無薪工作實習課程(UNPAID CO-OP)的學生,除報名費、材料書本費和學

學生先在臺灣申請一般的學術課程並只申請學生簽證,待抵達加拿大後,學校的工作實習部門
會協助學生申請學生簽證延簽及工作簽證。
如報名 Greystone College Co-op 的課程,須請您先跟學生詳細說明以下申請程序 :

GSC 多倫多校區 - 填寫 GSC 一般學術課程 (Academic Only Program) 1 的申請表格。
2) 按照一般申請流程(遞交兩份申請表格及所有相關文件等程序)。
3) 學校收到申請表格後,會寄出一般學術課程的入學許可信,以便學生辦理學生簽證使用。

4) 務必立即聯繫華語學生顧問(溫哥華校區 /Holiday Mah,多倫多校區 /Catherine Zhang)辦理
轉換手續,並繳交(有薪)工作實習服務費原價加幣$500 或(無薪)工作實習安排費原價加
幣$825,以及加幣$150 學生簽證延簽費用。(促銷價格請參考春季優惠方案 )
5) 完成 Co-op 申請程序後,顧問會將所有相關文件轉交至 Greystone College 工作實習部門。
6) Greystone College 工作實習部門會根據 Co-op 的課程協助學生申請學生簽證延簽及工作
簽證。

GREYSTONE 學院入學條件
學生必須完成一般的學校教育12年級學業 (高中畢業) 或持有大專院校認可的文憑或學位。
國際學生必須完成 Greystone學院線上英文寫作測驗(PROLA)及口語面試,多倫多校區需再參加
Wonderlic-SLE-Q測驗。語言程度要求依照各課程要求而不同。
在註冊前,請先報名參加線上英文測驗 (PROLA) 和 Wonderlic-SLE-Q測驗(僅多倫多校區) ,以及
電話口語面試。在接受線上英文測驗時,請同時選取有興趣的課程。
如果順利通過該課程的入學要求門檻:
可向Greystone學院提出申請該課程
如語文程度未達要求:
可同時向 ILSC 和 Greystone學院提出申請
先在ILSC加強英文程度;等達到該課程的語

不同的工作領域,例如:住宿服務、餐飲業或零售業等,並且提供所學的專業技

In this workplace-centered course, students will develop communication skills for the workplace. Key workplace communication skills include gathering, conveying, and receiving information together with completing routine written correspondence.
Working Effectively with Others 4 weeks
In this course, students will develop teamwork skills for the workplace. The course covers topics like working in a group environment, promoting team commitment and cooperation, supporting team members and dealing effectively with issues, problems and conflict.
Basic IT Skills—Produce Word Processed Documents
2 weeksIn this course, students will learn how to correctly operate word processing applications to produce workplace documents.
Basic IT Skills—Create and Use Spreadsheets
2 weeksIn this course, students will learn how to correctly create and use spreadsheets and charts using industry-standard spreadsheet software.
Hospitality, Tourism & Travel Industry Information
4 weeks
In this course, students will gain the knowledge required to source and use current and emerging information on the hospitality, tourism and travel industry. Students will develop researcher skills in order to stay current on industry structure and technology issues. Personnel integrate this essential knowledge on a daily basis to work effectively in the industry.
Providing Information and Assistance
4 weeks
In this course, students will gain the knowledge required to provide customers with information and assistance on facilities, products and services. They will learn how to identify customer needs and how to build their knowledge base in order to provide relevant and helpful information.
Customer Interaction 4 weeks
In this course, students will gain the knowledge required to deliver a fundamental customer service to both internal and external customers. Good customer service requires the ability to greet and serve customers and to respond effectively to customer service enquiries including routine customer problems.
Work Placement Skills 4 weeks
In this course, students will prepare for the Canadian workplace. This course is very useful to students registered in a co-op program. It rapidly prepares students to apply for jobs and ensures their résumés and cover letters are to the business standard. Additionally, it helps students through the process of applying for a tax file number (SIN).
The Next Step 2 weeksThis course follows up with students after their work placement. It provides the student with a new perspective of their goals and achievements and prepares them to take the next step when they leave the program.

國際認可的旅遊及飯店管理(工作實習)文憑課程,學生可從中獲得專業知識。
並透過有薪的工作實習機會取得一個寶貴的加拿大工作經驗。旅遊業及飯店業
在全球是最快速及就業市場最大的產業。從Greystone畢業的學生擔任各樣專業
領域的職位。
此文憑課程為期18個月,9個月的專業課程加上9個月的工作實習。
課程時間表
學術課程 學生將接受專業合格及多年業界經驗的老師授課。
課程時間為星期一至星期五,早上9點到下午4點(期間1小時午餐休息時間)
工作實習課程
Greystone學院工作實習部門工作人員將會協助並確認學生找到與課程相關的

Managing Hospitality Human Resources 2 weeks
Hospitality is a people industry, and this course shows how to manage the important human resources who provide services within a hospitality operation. Students will analyze contemporary issues and practices, as well as employment laws that have an impact on the way people are managed.

Hospitality Sales and Marketing 4 weeksDiscover how to build a top-flight sales team with creative, successful sales and marketing programs that really work. This course shows how to sell rooms and food and beverage services to business and leisure travelers, travel agents, and meeting planners.

In this course, students will prepare for the Canadian workplace. This course is very useful to students registered in a co-op program. It rapidly prepares students to apply for jobs and ensures their résumés and cover letters are to the business standard. Additionally, it helps students through the process of applying for a tax file number (SIN).
The Next Step 2 weeksThis course follows up with students after their work placement. It provides the student with a new perspective of their goals and achievements and prepares them to take the next step when they leave the program.

International Business 4 weeks
This course introduces students to globalization and to the value-adding activities of businesses in the current global economy. We discuss the impact of national cultures on doing business globally. In addition, we examine the external forces that impact businesses, international organizations, legal and labor forces in the global context. The course touches on strategic alliances and the impact of rapid environmental changes on strategic planning for international business.
Marketing 4 weeks
This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to marketing concepts and terminology. It examines the importance of marketing within organizations and society in general. Students will study the major components of a marketing plan, the marketing mix and consumer relationships. They will learn how to address the basic needs of companies in planning, developing, and managing products, distribution channels, promotion and pricing.
Organizational Behaviour 4 weeks
This course introduces students to the concepts of organizational behaviour and their application in today’s business environments. Students will develop insights into how the behaviour of individuals and groups impact organizations. Further, they will learn to apply the theories and concepts of organizational behaviour to develop effective managerial competencies in such areas as teamwork, motivation, decision making and leadership.
Managerial Communications 4 weeks
The ability to communicate well is an essential requirement for all employees of an organization. In this course we explore the importance of communication in business and cross-cultural environments; students also compose various forms of written communication and prepare and deliver a formal business presentation.
Introduction to Management 4 weeks
This course introduces students to the concept of management by exploring the roles and functions of managers in a business environment. The purpose of the course is to enhance the students’ understanding of the elements of the management processes of planning, organizing, directing and controlling organizational activities. The course is designed to build a foundation of knowledge needed in future management courses.
Business Law 4 weeks
The course provides students with an overview of business law and an understanding of basic legal terminology. Since contracts form the heart of business operations, a significant portion of the course is dedicated to contract law and various legal issues arising from contract disputes. Class topics and discussions will draw on examples from current news media reports on legal cases. Knowledge of the court system includes field trips to the law courts.

COURSE NAME LENGTH DESCRIPTION
International Business 4 weeks
This course introduces students to globalization and to the value-adding activities of businesses in the current global economy. We discuss the impact of national cultures on doing business globally. In addition, we examine the external forces that impact businesses, international organizations, legal and labour forces in the global context. The course touches on strategic alliances and the impact of rapid environmental changes on strategic planning for international business.
Marketing 4 weeks
This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to marketing concepts and terminology. It examines the importance of marketing within organizations and society in general. Students will study the major components of a marketing plan, the marketing mix and consumer relationships. They will learn how to address the basic needs of companies in planning, developing, and managing products, distribution channels, promotion and pricing.
Organizational Behaviour 4 weeks
This course introduces students to the concepts of organizational behaviour and their application in today’s business environments. Students will develop insights into how the behaviour of individuals and groups impact organizations. Further, they will learn to apply the theories and concepts of organizational behaviour to develop effective managerial competencies in such areas as teamwork, motivation, decision making and leadership.
Managerial Communications 4 weeks
The ability to communicate well is an essential requirement for all employees of an organization. In this course we explore the importance of communication in business and cross-cultural environments; students also compose various forms of written communication and prepare and deliver a formal business presentation.
Introduction to Management 4 weeks
This course introduces students to the concept of management by exploring the roles and functions of managers in a business environment. The purpose of the course is to enhance the students’ understanding of the elements of the management processes of planning, organizing, directing and controlling organizational activities. The course is designed to build a foundation of knowledge needed in future management courses.
Business Law 4 weeks
The course provides students with an overview of business law and an understanding of basic legal terminology. Since contracts form the heart of business operations, a significant portion of the course is dedicated to contract law and various legal issues arising from contract disputes. Class topics and discussions will draw on examples from current news media reports on legal cases. Knowledge of the court system includes field trips to the law courts.
Work Placement Skills 4 weeks
In this course, students will prepare for the Canadian workplace. This course is very useful to students registered in a co-op program. It rapidly prepares students to apply for jobs and ensures their résumés and cover letters are to the business standard. Additionally, it helps students through the process of applying for a tax file number (SIN).
The Next Step 2 weeksThis course follows up with students after their work placement. It provides the student with a new perspective of their goals and achievements and prepares them to take the next step when they leave the program.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT This course introduces theory, principles and applications of human resources from a managerial perspective. Operational issues such as HR planning, recruiting, job analysis, performance management and employee development are some of the practical issues covered. The course ends with a look at international issues in HR management for companies operating in the global environment.
MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTINGThis course introduces the student to the theory, principles and applications of fundamental business accounting. The course begins by introducing the student to the standard, time-honoured accounting principles. The course will advance to apply accounting principles to specific financial statements, and detailed accounting transactions. The course finishes by familiarizing the student with the skills necessary to efficiently classify relevant business accounts culminating in the completion of the basic accounting cycle.
CERTIFICATE IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENTThis introductory course is designed to expose students to financial issues and concerns of general managers in modern business. Focusing on how to use financial management to make decisions, this course provides students with all of the practical skills needed to succeed in business. Content includes examples of how Canadian companies adapted financial policies to recent financial crisis; as well as coverage of such topics as break-even analysis, shareholder value and financial statements.
Prerequisite: Accounting recommended
STRATEGIC ANALYSISThis course is designed to expose students to the issues and concerns of general managers in modern business. The course content builds on foundation concepts from the Introduction to Management course. Using case studies, students will analyze corporate strategies focusing on opportunities and problems in the context of the external and internal environments of companies. Important element of the analysis is how managers make strategic decisions for the success of the organization.

In this course, students will gain the knowledge required to source and use current and emerging information on the hospitality, tourism and travel industry. Students will develop researcher skills in order to stay current on industry structure and technology issues. Personnel integrate this essential knowledge on a daily basis to work effectively in the industry.
Providing Information and Assistance
4 weeks
In this course, students will gain the knowledge required to provide customers with information and assistance on facilities, products and services. They will learn how to identify customer needs and how to build their knowledge base in order to provide relevant and helpful information.
Customer Interaction 4 weeks
In this course, students will gain the knowledge required to deliver a fundamental customer service to both internal and external customers. Good customer service requires the ability to greet and serve customers and to respond effectively to customer service enquiries including routine customer problems.
Job Search Preparation 2 weeks
In this course, students will prepare to take their new skills and knowledge into the job market. Students will focus on defining their future goals and career aspirations, and will learn how to write effective resumés and cover letters, interview basics, and what employers are looking for. Students will complete the course feeling prepared to find work in their new field.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSThis course introduces students to globalization and to the value-adding activities of businesses in the current global economy. First we discuss the impact of national cultures on doing business globally. In addition, we examine the external forces that impact businesses, international organizations, legal and labor forces in the global context. Further, the course touches on strategic alliances and the impact of rapid environmental changes on strategic planning for international business.
MARKETINGThis course is designed to provide students with an introduction to marketing concepts and terminology. It examines the importance of marketing within organizations and society in general. Students will study the major components of a marketing plan, the marketing mix and consumer relationships. They will learn how to address the basic needs of companies in planning, developing, and managing products, distribution channels, promotion and pricing.
CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOURThis course introduces students to the concepts of organizational behaviour and their application in today’s business environments. Here are the instructions for logging in ILSC Agent's Resource Site.
In order to access to ILSC AGENTS RESOURCE SITE, please follow these simple steps:
1) Go to http://www.ilsc.com
2) Click on “Agent Login” at the top
3) Click on “New Users Register Here”
4) Fill in your agency information
Please enter the access code ilsc-sc1 and select TAIWAN as your market. You will receive your password immediately by e-mail.
ILSC On-Line Test Invitation (Agent)
To send a test invitation:
1) Go to http://www.ilsc.com
2) Click on “Agent Login” at the top
3) Log in with your password
Go to “Level Test & Interviews” Select “Prola - Send Test Invitation Email”
4) Select the appropriate test, fill in student's information and click on “Send Invitation”.
5) The student and you will receive a confirmation and the test results by e-mail.
There is no need to correct the test The student's language level will automatically send to you by email
