Last December 17, 2015 the Saint Joseph school’s teachers and students celebrated the annual and traditional Christmas party. This said celebration has become a tradition not only in Saint Joseph School but to other schools as well. Last year’s celebration was not like the previous years’ celebration. Before, we used to celebrate it by year level or by section inside our given classrooms. Last year wasn’t completely different but there were few additions to the said event, we had a program inside the gym from kindergarten upto grade 10 and after that we celebrated and ate lunch inside our classrooms.

CHRISTMAS DECORATION

Each classroom were tasked to be decorated by the students in that particular grade with the help of the parents and teacher (adviser). Our adviser made different groups that are assigned with different places or tasks such as the belen making, Christmas tree decoration, the door, ceiling, windows etc.. I was under the christmas tree decoration. What we did is we searched for a kind of tree that could be considered as a Christmas tree and painted it with white and then put some ornaments like styro balls and each of our pictures hanging on it.

CHORALE SINGING COMPETITION

Again, each year levels were assigned on their own competitions and the grades 7-10 were under Chorale singing competition. The songs that we sang were all Christmas songs like Sleigh bells ring, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, etc.. We performed it inside the gym during the christmas party celebration and I could say that it was fun because we enjoyed our performance.

Although last year’s celebration wasn’t that bad, for some reason I would still prefer the previous years’ kind of celebration where it was simply celebrated by us inside our given classrooms
