Vacation Care Requirements:
Please ensure your child has the following items
every day they attend our Vacation Care program.
Wide Brimmed Hat (No Caps).
Closed in shoes
Water bottle Filled with water only
Healthy foods for meal breaks
Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea.
One piece of fruit
Please bring a piece of fruit to put in our share
basket for afternoon tea.
Money for excursions when required.
Medication if required
Must contain a pharmacy label with child’s name and
dosage requirements. Notify Educators if your child has
medication.
Sun protective clothing
Shirts must have sleeves and preferably a
collar. Also ensure clothing is conducive to
movement and play.
Tuesday 27th June Scottvale Park Children will be visiting Scottvale Park’s facilities with a selection of activities on offer. This will enhance
children’s gross and fine motor skills. Children will enjoy a cold slushie before leaving to return to
the service. We will be leaving the service at 9:40 am and returning at 12:45 pm.
Cost: $9.00 with Slushie

Wednesday 28th June Cinemas
The children will be going to the cinemas to watch the movie Cars 3 (Rated PG). Snacks will be provided.
Cost: $11.00. Children will need to bring their money for the movies to pay on the day. The
viewing and travel times will be announced closer to the day.

Thursday 29th June Recycled Activity Box Children will be encouraged to use their imagination and creative styles by designing with recycled materials.
Children will be able to access random recyclable objects to turn into their own
special creations under the theme “Will it Fly.”

Friday 30th June Aboriginal Culture ExperienceUncle Wade and his dancers will be visiting the centre to share with us Dreamtime stories and
history of the local area as well as dancing, boomerang throwing, games and other aspects
of Aboriginal Culture. Cost:$11.50

Monday 26th June Putt-Putt Golf & Ice Blocks Children will be able to put their hand/eye coordination to the test as they try to score the lowest count as they
move throughout the course. The Driving Range will also be available for children who would rather see how far
they can hit the ball. Children must bring hat, joggers and water bottles. Cost: $7.00. We
will be leaving the centre at 9:30 am and returning at 12:45 pm.

Tuesday 4th July Rigarlsford Park Children will be able to play on the various play equipment under the shade of the sails covering the park.
Children will be able to slide, swing and climb to their hearts content. They will be using fine and gross motor
skills to be challenged on the equipment. We will leave at 9:40 am and return at 12:30 pm.

Wednesday 5th July Film Making Children will be participating in a workshop on film making. Children will need to wear bright
clothes or come dressed as their favourite character. They will be encouraged to participate
in all the roles that come with producing a film from writing, directing, and acting. Cost: $10.00

Thursday 6th July Ritamada The children will be able to explore the beach and all its hidden treasures and the smell of fresh sea sprayed
water. We will be playing some ball games and making sandcastles. We will be having lunch there so make
sure you pack an ice brick to keep food items cool. We will be leaving at
9:30 am and returning at 2:00 pm.

Friday 7th July Multi SportsChildren will be able to experience a structured multi-sport program that incorporates various skills. The focus is providing a fun, safe inclusive program that enables children to develop the necessary skills to enjoy being active. Providing a caring and supportive environment that recognises each child's different stages of physical, social and emotional development. Cost: $10:00

Bowling & Laser tag Monday 3rd July Bike & Skate Day & Sausage Sizzle lunch
Bring along your bike, scooter or skates to enjoy riding around the tennis courts and
undercover areas with your friends. Make sure to include your helmet and all safety gear
as it is required for you to participate in this activity. For lunch, children will be having a
yummy sausage sizzle cooked by one of our Educators.

Tuesday 11th July Cooking Experience Today we will be making an old favourite treat - chocolate crackles. We will be encouraging the children’s
independence to follow the steps of the recipe to make their crackles. Being that the crackles need time to
set in the fridge we will get to eat our special treats for afternoon tea.

Wednesday 12th July Relax Kids Relax Kids is a new program to the Central Queensland region which
teaches the children the art of relaxation and managing anxiety. We are
very fortunate to have Jas Kirwin, Relax Kids Coach, visiting the service to
take us through a relaxation session. Cost $6.50

Thursday 13th July Crazy Joker Children will be able to let out their crazy side at the Crazy Joker with loads of fun to be
had with various attractions inside. Children will enjoy spending time with their friends
bouncing, climbing or sliding. We are sure there is something to entice every child.

Friday 14th July Card Challenge & Movie Day Children are able to bring in their cards to challenge others in card games. Children are advised
there will be no trading of cards or using other children`s cards to play games. Children can bring in
a movie to share with others. These movies are to be G+ rated. PG rated
movies are at the discretion of educators. Other Activities for the Day:

Children will be experiencing a different type of art. We will be going through talking
about the different paintings and learning about the culture of art. Back at the service
we will be using this new found artistic knowledge with different activities.
We will be leaving at 9:40 am and returning at 11:30am.

Monday 17th July Table Activities, Duggan Hall
& Pizza for Lunch We will be setting up our tables with various activities from thinking games to messy sensory play.
Children will be given the opportunity to select an activity or create one for themselves. Duggan
Hall will be available for ball games and dancing. Being the last day of our
holidays, what better way to celebrate then with pizza for lunch. We will be
ordering in from Dominos. Cost $5.00
