Youth Action volunteers conserving heathlands in the South Downs

Invitation to quote for South Downs Youth Action summer 2020 project

Dear partners,

The South Downs National Park Authority has been awarded funding by the

Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust to deliver a summer programme of South

Downs Youth Action.

South Downs Youth Action is a volunteering scheme enabling young people

aged 16-25 to get a taste of volunteering in a National Park. 

We want to support our fantastic partner organisations to provide a greater

range of opportunities and allow more young people to get involved in the

South Downs this summer. If you are interested in holding a youth action day please get in touch: Daniel.Greenwood@southdowns.gov.uk 

 

Invitation to quote

The invitation to quote is now live for organisations who could take on the

contract to work with us to deliver this exciting project.

We have overseen South Downs Youth Action days in the past 6 months and it

is now ready to involve more organisations and reach more young people. We

are confident this can have a massive impact for young people and voluntary

organisations in the National Park.

 

We have placed an invitation to quote for the commission above on SDNPA’s

In-tend portal. You can see more details of the commission by accessing the

If you think you might be interested in submitting a quotation, you can register

The closing date for responses is 12 noon on Friday 13th March 2020. 

 

Defra seeking diverse voices for South Downs National Park Authority

Do you want to help set the strategic direction for one of the country’s most amazing landscapes?

Defra – the government department that oversees National Parks and Areas of

Outstanding Natural Beauty - is appointing five new members to the South

Downs National Park Authority (basically the board/trustees for the National

Park).⠀⠀As we look to the challenges facing nature and the planet, it's more important

than ever before that National Park Authorities benefit from diverse and dynamic voices.

⠀Members of the Authority receive a Basic Allowance and can also receive

reimbursement for travel and other expenses.
